Oncology is safe. All others fair game. Big restructuring along with head count cuts. Will make it look like the same number of folks are carrying each product. Get ready for P1, P2, and P3 in your bags. Most would welcome something to do and something new to talk about.

Make sure you are familiar with the separation formulas. Be prepared to find insurance and replacement for company car. Start networking for other employment. Make sure you have an attorney to review every interaction with AZ Benefits.

So in other words, do everything that you didn't do when you were fired ?

I love it when my CBD finds time to post on CP instead of driving results.

He or she will have lots of free time to post on CP soon. They will be caught up in the layoffs as well.

30% of Non-ONC US commercial gone with the next hammer mighty Ruud swings! The kickback of kickback deals signed with China gives Pascal the growth needed to offset the failure of US commercial. Pascal knows one business model and one business model only: Sell future revenue stream opportunity to everyone and anyone willing to partner or pony up. Shows you how much confidence he has in his senior commercial leadership teams to be successful on their own.

I am new to the company ( 4 months) and concerned about these bag changes currently announced . Does this really mean layoffs and if so when may we expect it. No one seems concerned on the respiratory side. Is there really nothing to be concerned about?

There are massive cuts coming in line with what Lilly, Merck, and Pfizer have done in the last 6 months. Nobody in HQ knows the specifics because it is being designed by a consultant group and will then be tweaked by the leadership team. Big changes coming though because all is being on the q.t.

Look, we know the drill. Yes, Dec. 8 would be the day if it happens. If not, know that you are safe until summer. Its the same 6 month cycle every year that will continue over and over again. No surprises as every big pharma company uses the same layoff schedule. And we know for sure AZ is a follower in the industry. So until Pfizer or Merck changes things up, layoffs will continue to occur in Dec. or the following summer timeframe.

    Two things
    1. If you are concerned about layoffs, you are in the wrong industry. Change careers.
    2. Why would anyone believe the nonsense posted here?! Rumors start almost as soon as layoffs occur.

Respiratory could breathe easy. There are plenty of jobs out there. CVMD cuts will leave some grabbing their chest and some pissing sugar. There will be two sales forces. One hospital based and one clinic based. Both teams will carry several products.

The rumor in HQ this week is that we are reorganizing into two branches, Office Based and Hospital based, with one sales team carrying all Primary Care brands. No more respiratory or CV. Of course a headcount has not surfaced but you can bet it will be a significant reduction from current numbers. A lot of mid level managers will be let go. They will not be allowed to apply for a field sales vacancy. Also, AZ will not be paying for relocations.

Hospital and Office, really? Isn't that the same as office and IDN? How are we supposed to distinguish the two when they (providers) are linked in performance and reimbursement. Dumbest idea in decades. Can we get some leaders who understand the US market, pleeeaaase!

I get that managers don’t know shit however our manager in respiratory swears no layoffs at all. Koolaid drinker? And what is up with respiratory and training in December? All the while ten million emails to push full steam ahead and get our pulmonologist to prescribe bevespi through the end of the year. This place is a cluster of gigantic proportions. Unfortunately no openings anywhere else so I am stuck at this hell hole. I don’t think layoffs will happen. This company is too dumb to see no one has anything to do !

NO LAYOFFS. Don’t be so gullible, there’s a new date posted every few weeks from an HQ insider.

Leadership ( if you want to call it that ) will scream no layoffs until the axe falls. They will have no choice . Shareholders need an ego boost and this company is currently in the shitter. Has frenchi not learned anything from past mistakes. Does he even know what the hell even goes on at this company . For Pete’s sake get your shit together! We will follow the lead of others like Merck, Lilly, novo, and BI.
We will not want to end the year as the least profitable company in pharma. If we make it through December unscathed consider it your Xmas gift.
