It's official....ACAS is looking for suitors to buy AAI and Cambridge Major. The combined companies are rebranding and changing their name. AAI/CML evaluation has dropped by 1/2 and ACAS will have no choice to sell the companies for a big loss. Get ready for some job cuts.

Since American Capital (ACAS) has decided to sell off it's assets:

"American Capital" or the "Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has completed the initial phase of its previously announced strategic review process and has authorized the Company to proceed with the solicitation of offers to purchase the Company or its various business lines in whole or in part"

it makes sense that AAI/CML might be sold.

Who would buy this turd is a whole different question. These are third rate labs with old equipment and a tarnished reputation for quality. The 483s, reduced scope of services and poor management are all negative factors. Anyone who makes an offer will do so at a significant discount of the "fair value" that AAI/CML thinks they have.

The management has done a great job. They been able to align the businesses to decrease market share for the entire organization. Don't worry, the Lonza executives all have their floating parachutes and will move on when the deal is done.

This place is a mess and a substantial investment will be required to fix us.

Management got rich on the last deal. Pat walked away with millions and we got screwed. The quislings got paid as well and they are still with us. Our current Nazi slime and his bitch will no doubt also make millions if someone is dumb enough to buy AAI/CML. What will the rank and file get, beside tired? Bohica! Thank you for all of your hard work, here is your bonus....one whole dollar.

Got to laugh that the honorable Geeman is screwing his BD girlfriend literally. No need to drop names but she's a tall blonde who manages key accounts. If you play the game with these morons you may get that well deserved bonus.

You really can't blame these people as ACAS brought them in. They couldn't make it at Lonza and came to a second tier company.

Not second tier....third or fourth at the very most. We used to be second string but have dropped since the Walsh days. Formulations is much reduced, biopharm is mostly gone, small molecule is just here to support production. AAI/CML is a shadow of the former companies.

Rumor is that one of the Indian Pharmaceutical companies is interested. They are mostly interested in CML and the solid dosage manufacturing.

They are a subsidiary of a huge company Tata makes everything from pharmaceutical to cars, a little like Samsung.

Walsh's right hand, Maffuid, decimated the company he went to. Destroyed 95% of its stock value.

Once the company is sold, we will get rid of the incompetent management such as Ted, his sidekick Syed and the fearless German who's track record mirrors his days at Lonza. There are already offers on the combined companies and it's a matter of time whether ACAS will sell the entire business unit or it will be broken up. It's too bad our evaluation has dropped so much. Oh well, shit happens.

Getting rid of the current incompetent management will only lead to new incompetent management being hired. BOHICA

ACAS postponed their annual shareholder meeting, that announcement was a follow up to ACAS stating a " net loss for the year and quarter ended December 31, 2015 was $(187) million , or $(0.70) per diluted share, and $(227) million , or $(0.88) per diluted share, respectively".

It does not look good for ACAS. One can only hope they will find a kind and wise buyer who will treat AAI/CML with the respect they deserve rather than selling us to the first pack of idiots who make a low ball offer for this POS. The reality will be BOHICA.

A turd by any other name would still smell like a turd.

The really sad part is that AAIPharma spent a lot of time and effort on the new name ....too bad there are a couple of other companies that already use that same name. An IT company, a staffing company......good job, go team.

A quick search showed several other companies with Alcami in their name:

    Alcami Venture Holdings, LLC

Alcami, a specialised finance and technology recruitment agency, CEO Jane Bianchini

    Alcami Limited, Manufacture of jewelry

There are quite a few companies by that name that have gone tits up and dissolved. AAIPharma oops, I meant Alcami, has that to look forward to.

    Alcami Business Services Ltd.

    Alcami Global Services Ltd.

    Alcami IT Solutions Ltd.

    Alcami Managed Services Ltd.

    Alcami Solutions Ltd.

One can only wonder if they is meant to be a clever play on words with Alchemy or if they just can spell?
