They canceled the external employee survey because they were afraid of the results. It was all decided after the cnbc article, not a planned decision because of the integration. Now they are communicating the results of the short internal survey like they were super positive and they are awesome. The questions were leading because that’s what they want to hear. All self-serving to say they are great.
How can HR force us to go back to the office during a pandemic and track who is swiping their badges to ensure people are going to the office. Grow a back bone HR - tell Rick this is not right.
Curious to hear what others have to say about their experience with HR.

Hello HR, glad to see you continue to monitor this board.
Yes, we are doing fine. Just like when people say they are fine to end a discussion because the other party does not give a rats ass about you. Fine!

If HR is reading theses posts why aren’t they doing anything about our managers making us secretly let them listen to calls with doctors? Hmmmmmm.... I wonder why....

This is a real issue and it’s weird, managers need to calm the fuck down! We are in a pandemic and you can’t field travel so just chill out with the trackers. Here is why nbrx and trx are in decline. It’s really hard to understand, 6 million people lost their job and 80 million are worried about losing their job, so there’s that. Also, specialists aren’t getting the referrals because people aren’t seeing their primary care doctor. Offices are short staffed because you got paid more to stay home. Let’s worry about all that stuff on the other side of this pandemic, in the meantime weed is legal in 18 states so sit back roll up a fatty and chill the fuck out!

One can rest assured this activity is going to backfire right in Abbvie's face. There are states where it's actually unlawful. It will just take the right person to roll, and someone always does.

I dont know any managers doing this. If mine did I would just say no and ask if this went through compliance and legal? Grow some balls people. Clear and courageous... you can put it on your review!

My DM is having me record my calls with my phone without getting conscent from the provider. They have me play back the calls so they can listen in. The only problem with this is that I reside in WA state where its illegal to record a conversation without the conscent of both parties. HR if you are looking at these posts please stop the DMs in WA state from continuing to demand this illegal activity from us. I dont want to break the law, but I also don't want the wrath of my DM. Our RM calls these virtual ride alongs. Please get this illegal activity to stop.

I do get a huge kick out of how we all complete these LERN / ALC trainings every month about how to behave appropriately and interact with HR, but the HR here is a total joke.

At the end of the day, they're all about pushing the company's priorities - not yours.

They do what they are told. HR does not act independently at Abbv.

HR does not administer the survey nor understand the results and action steps for change. .

In their defense, no one knows what to do now. The survey needed to happen. Cancelling it sent the wrong signal.

ok leadership forum member, thanks for chiming in with your prepared answer. Only one of you would respond with something as far from the abbvie truth as be clear and courageous. I don’t want to be fired. I just want people in the company to act with integrity. Do you really think people here are honest with their managers? Do you know what happens when people share their honest opinions here? They get ostracized or fired.

File with EEOC - the more complaints they receive Abbvie will finally stop acting like they are above the law.

If you thought it’s bad, it’s actually worse. Have a new hr supporting my division. Decided to google her and found an interesting case about her being sued by her former maid for unfair treatment, not paying wages properly, overtime, etc. Who even has a maid like this in the US? It’s official, we have hr who does not even care about our basic legal standards.

is this for real? It shows hr’s true colors and how they don’t even care about meeting minimal legal requirements.

WTF! Just googled her (I think we are talking about the same person). What makes me sick to my stomach is to see that Abbvie was also cited in the lawsuit and then the judge decided to remove Abbvie and just keep the lawsuit against her. It makes me think that Tim Richmond and Laura Schumacher know about this and how she treats employees and condone her actions. If she mistreats her own employees to whom she is liable to, imagine what will happen to us in Specialty? You think that keep sending us to the field during covid with our DM is bad - I’m sure HR is behind this careless attitude.

Why don’t you swear more? Profanity is a sign of limited intelligence and vocabulary.

No, actually the sales directors pushed to get us back in the field so legal was consulted to make us essential workers
