Actavis just bought Forest

    Top performers are allowed to interview for either open positions that had already been posted or for a newly open position where a low performer on the Forest side will be let go. So no, they are not letting all of us go.

    Very few Aptalis folks are going to be accepting positions at Forest. They are making the Aptalis folks jump through hoops just to check the box and offering crap territories with crap physicians. The West Zone Manager has already moved on as the CFAM Manager along with 4 of the managers she selected to take of the CFAMs rolling into Forest. If you are asking or wondering if you are one, the answer is "no."
    Continue to strive for your double bonus because we will never see the final numbers and you won't get paid on it even if you hit it. It's a ploy to keep you working for something and continuing to drive the business so lost revenue isn't too noticeable.
    Quintiles is getting the best deal out of this. Work until mid to end of April and get severance until Aug. better then what Aptalis is offering. And they can always sign on to a new contract. It's like in a f'n union.

    While I will agree with you that at this point, Quintiles has probably been treated better than most Aptalis folks. However, a few things should be clarified. The last day in the field is April 11th. There is no true severance but reps will recieve pay until they leave for another opportunity or July 31st, whichever comes first. They don't just roll into another contract. There has to be an opportunity available in their area and they will interview against others for the position. Sometimes the pay is decent but often times it's crap pay, crap territory, crap company, just like Forest. And what you are experiencing at this moment, is the life of a Q rep, hardly a union. This pretty much sucks for all of us and no one is happy. The Q rep just adapts to it better since this will happen to them often, if they chose to stay in contract. Good luck to you all.

    Of they have a specialty spot you can interview for it...and compete with forest reps with limited GI experience for the same job. Hmm, wonder who wins that fight? Or, if they have a pcp spot open you can interview for that. Qualifications, one successful year of b2b sales. Interview? Really? Every aptalis rep with more than a year at the company is over qualified for that job.

    Forest rep here and I do not get that either. Likely all just a something to do until we are all cut anyway. Actavis has a GI force too.
