"obviously." Thats laughable......The post 2 threads above was nothing more than an honest opinion from what I gather is a former employee's past experience. I have been in medical sales for 18 years, 4 different companies. I can tell any prospective candidates for ANY company that there are multiple companies out there who pay double what Applied pays its territory managers. Do your homework, network, ask questions. I've done very well in this industry and my advice to anyone looking to come here is don't settle, don't be complacent and strive to be the best. Look at JNJ, Stryker, Intuitive, Medtronic, St Jude, etc. Applied is a C or D level company, not highly respected in the industry. Ask recruiters, doctors, admin, you will see!

Personally I thought Applied was a good company to work for, but found an opportunity that I would be able to make more. Yes, the vast majority of those on here are just grinding an axe. Applied hires great people and duds. But so does every other company. Don't listen to everyone on here bashing their products, they have very solid products. You will be underpaid, but that is all in how you look at it.

Now, when it comes to the region you mentioned I would advise you to stay away. The Southern California region is oversaturated and pretty much all of the surgeons who are using the Gel products are either on board, or not going to give it a shot. You are paid on growth and there quite frankly isn't that much room for growth with Gel when you get south of LA. If the territory is LA, then that's different, but from what I gather it's OC-SD that you are looking at? I don't mean to discourage you, the Gel platform is a great platform, but when you look at the ceiling, the growth is just not there. Think about this, SD is one of the most desired areas in the country to move to, why is there an opening there that's been there for a while? Red flags should be waving.

What happened to the guy that was there? KW was hilarious. I would think it is hard to live in SD with the amount of money Applied is offering. There are some good people on the Cali team though.

Carps a good guy, yes. Good manager? Only at Applied, which is only med device gig he's ever had. While he is a no bullshit kind of guy, he's also just a puppet for both DW and DG. But then again, almost all the Zonies are the same. They are afraid of DG and the ridiculous bullshit he comes up with. We all know that DG can only survive in a place like Applied. His shit wouldn't fly anywhere else, other than the reincarnated USSC that is Applied.

What are your thoughts on the LA ALS Territory? Why are there so many ALS and TM positions open nationwide?

Think about it for a minute. Southern California is one of the most desired spots in the country, yet they have so many openings there. What does that tell you? I'm no Sherlock Holmes but......

What percentage of ALS nationally achieve plan? Is comp only based on growth and nothing from existing base previously grown? Any incite as to why former ALS have left the position is appreciated.

Their "plan" is a joke. Comp is only based on growth so it doesn't make sense to knock it out of the park initially. Subtract 40k from whatever they promise you.

And with the plan being based on growth how much growth will you be seeing in Southern California, a market that is tapped out? Not too much.
