Throw it against the wall and see what sticks.

Smoke and Mirtors and ass kissing. That’s all folks. Show is over.

We are going down dramatically... have you attended the ECRS, then you see what I am saying... we are not Alcon anymore! Now 20% lay-off at the manager levels is on the way... late October...

Will the layoffs be Vision Care, Surgical or both?

the both but not sales reps. Marketing, people managers and back office staff will be hit... they decided to announce and execute it in early November, however the second half of October particularly October 21 is the red zone...

There continue to be rumors of how Alcon will look like a completely different company 2 years from now. Not sure this is a good thing. Significant layoffs OUS (especially EMEA), no need for both BUH and GMs. Global marketing continues to expand (mostly with people who have zero ophthalmology experience), yet they keep their heads in the sand and hardly interface with customers. The only customers they care to interact with are those who live and breathe Alcon only.

Marketing needs to go. Too many managers who “work from home” and get nothing accomplished.
