Senior management does know what's happening. Schedule a one on one.

Good luck to all. Hope everyone is actively looking for a new job. This is the beginning of the end for us.

Who do you mean by 'us'?? I don't see how the company can jeopardize being out of compliance. Are you training your replacements?

I heard the the whole U.S. intake phone center/U.S. Affiliate Medical Safety department all laid off 2 weeks ago. There's your sign.

Not exactly. Their last day will be sometime in Jan if they can not find another internal position

Any target dates for the reporting and/or vigilance folks (GDD)? The fate of the intake folks is clear. Wonder if the reporting will also go to QA.

I doubt it will go to QA but what is evident is that those with HS diplomas should be going after a college degree in the field of science. It is true that experience count but we are in the 21 century. At a minimum you should have a Bachelors. GDD requirements for Alcon Safety could increase at any time. Look at the folks at NVS doing similar jobs, they are all highly educated.

This means forklift drivers and manufacturing need not apply.

Or managers/supervisors without a degree. You're all gone in January.

Company wide. And watch Vas to make it so.

But wait... GDD in FW is going back to Alcon, under new leadership. And new leaders mean new subordinates. 2018 will sure be interesting!

    GDD back to Alcon?

The compliance/reporting section would be almost wiped out. About 50% of folks there don’t have a degree. This includes the folks who respond to inquiries from Health Agencies. Some of the directors don’t have degrees either. But at this point probably Vas doesn’t care; especially if Alcon gets spinned off.
