    But, came to my senses.
The give away was the rude atmosphere during the interview process.

This is pharmaceutical industry 2014, not 1994. Act accordingly managers. Its not the coveted job that it once was, and you can't fool people as easily today as you could pre Internet explosion or Hard Sell Viagra books from a goofball that went to the most over-rated school in the nation, ND.

I have gone in an interviewed. The last time, I sat in the parking lot of the Hilton Express with my guts churning. I should have just drove home. Instead, I endured the torture of the interview with the 28 year old DM who used " it rocks" as a descriptive response four time in one-hour. I wanted to suck my car into a bridge abutment on the way home.

Based on our poor grasp of English, you are clearly not qualified for a job in pharma. You should stick to something more simple, such as a career in retail or fast food.

I am not the above poster...

but I wanted to know: do you think these managers with 10 plus years experience know that this job is a joke?

Or are they really of the mindset that they make a difference and their company/pill help people?

I am just curious because I am thinking of jumping back in.

    Thanks!

Personally, once you hit 45, you have to know.

Mangers that are into their 50s and don't get, have little hope to understand anything in life.

Some get it at 25-30 though, and those are the free thinkers and the ones that do the big things in business and in life, because they can make a quick evaluation and understand the fake from the real. Pharmaceuticals is grossly fake. But, its a high paying, easy job, with low stress for the most part, so it can't be ignored. Ironically, it can also be the most stressful sales job when given a micromanager or a terrible product to peddle.

Anyone with 10 years experience in a role that has not advanced their career (regardless of industry) is likely a low performer. An effective manager can make a real difference. An effective medication can also make a difference.

    Any other questions?

Keep moving forward. Don't go back. Read Exodus, go into your future, not your past.
    You will regret it.

Those of us that are good, move forward in our pharma careers. Those that are low performers, get kicked out (like you did) and then have to accept a much lower level job (struggling to get by).
