Civilization collapsed at the end of the bronze age, Sea Peoples (made up of marauders from various places) eventually stopped Marauding and likely became Philistines then settled one place, Israelites settled in another and as societies restructured the elders began writing ideas for the new civilization and these ideas became the Old Testament. Eventually a man named Jesus, who was one of us Jews, was born. Like many mid-eastern prophets, the word messiah came up however Judaism doesn't recognize this, a man who says his dad lives and rules from a palace in the sky and his brother is a holy ghost? I notice that you use plural form of school, thus making a generalization that has no merit. Just because this guy was malfeasant doesn't mean the brave faculty members that were killed in their attempts to protect children wouldn't have loved to have had an opportunity to defend themselves with a firearm. Even if they couldn't hit him, they might have distracted him long enough to let kids seek shelter. I find it hard to believe you, found in a similar situation, would't prefer to make some attempt to minimize the killing of children (and of yourself).
