It's funny you ask...I asked one of my cosmetic derms and they told me they have not seen their Sculptra rep since last summer.

those sculptra reps are mysterious...very mysterious....

Is sculptra a good product. i have seen mixed reviews but believe it is due to lack of trained injectors. Do you beleive it will do well with the cosmetic indication. Looks like Artefill may got head start. i have been contacted to interview and wanted here from some that sold it.

RUN AWAY! Great product...it never going to get the indication no matter what they tell you! You know why there are openings? 80% turnover!

I do not sell sculptra but one of the big pastic docs in my territory is participating in the phase 3 and says it will do well. He said have to have proper training unlike every tom dick and mary who think they can inject facial fillers. The results with it he says are very good when used with the fillers like restylane and juvederm. Anyone else hear this. Just thought i let you know some positive info. He also said withsanofi backing dermik will be more respected by plastics and derms.

wow! you got some feedback from ONE doctor. how reliable!

can he explain why dermik has been "trying" to get the cosmetic indication for years now and no luck? is he being paid by SA?

I believe dermik got approval by FDA, but for only 12 mths back at the end of 2006...to justify the cost Dermik wants cosmetic indication for 18-24 mths so dermik set back for the longer indication.

I just don't think the product will never get off the ground...too bad.

It has a 24 mth indication but only for hiv patients. This product has been trying to get cosmetic indication for 4 yrs!!!!! Doctors that are using it like it. But there is to much going against it and zero support from the company due to its indication. Again....that is why you have a 80% turnover!

Is SA going to set up more injection training with advisory meetings or are they doing more education at society meetings. Does anyone know if Sculptra is in atleast phase 3 for cosmestic use?

BTW. i am not a primary care rep such as you. There is potential for the product if you look further into how it works. You need to drink a beer and watch some porn.

Great strategy!! The reason Sculptra will NEVER achieve the kind of status that other fillers have is because of the SKILL required to inject it! The rest of the pack is filled with "point and shoot" products that don't have to narrow down their customers to a small subset. Sales 101.

Yeah, and there's the other thing...this product was launched POORLY and has been dogged by the market. Face it, anyone who would use that crap is already using it!
