Well your flawed interpretation of the facts is why you are where you are, doing what you're doing...scrub.

This is bs. In pharma you could stick any rep in a good territory and as long as they make calls and had good formulary coverage their entire district basically wins pres club. You dont see that in device because its a real sales job. You cant just put anyone in a territory teach them a marketing message and expect them to be successful. Which a prime example is the failure of the contract sales force who was trained in this mannor

LoL ! You're not Device. You're right about not pharma bc you're diagnostics. If you actually sold in device and called on surgeons, you'd Really know and understand this. Lab sales is customer service at best. Since when did coverage not matter for this product? You're kidding yourself. Coverage and territory just like f'ing pharma!

Device or Specialist sales are like an annuity. Initial sale is very difficult but account maintenance requires much less effort.

Pharma or PCP is a reach and frequency sale requiring moderate and consistent selling and maintenance.

This is not device, lab nor pharma. It's Medical Diagnostics. You people don't even know how to classify the product. Understand the difference.

    Hope this helps.

No wonder this business is in trouble. You have no idea what you're talking about. Labs sell tests; you know, like urea breath test. Medical diagnostics companies "sell" the platforms to run the test kits on; you know like Pocone. Most lease the platforms in favor of making money off of the disposable items, because they also sell the disposables (test kits), reagents and control kits.

    Ring a bell?

How are hospital system sales going for you with inflated prices?

They love it. Instruments are flying off the shelves.

This is true. One went flying towards my head as I entered a lab. I made sure that they received plenty of free unused kits from a neighboring testing center. It was great customer service. Gold star day...

Sounds like a success story if I have ever heard one. You should send that in to your manager. pharma divisions love success stories which is what MDD is now.

Yes. I'm very excited. I'm waiting for my goldstar sticker in the mail. Maybe I'll receive it next week so I can place it on my calender. I'm hoping that my regional will pat me on my head in front of all my jealous friends at the next meeting. I'm really looking forward to that possibility.

I think King Kong, despite his size...would be much less condescending. I hear she's auditioning for Kim Jun Un roles. That last movie really has opened some doors.

So little Stevie has this clusterfuck dumped in his lap. Now the shit will really hit the fan.

Nah... It will just fade to black. Hell...They'll probably let the blue team left overs take a stab at it. Steve will receive some sort of golden parachute onto somewhere else with a nice recommendation to boot. Now for the ASMs...a different story all together.

Why does senior management make the same mistake over and over again? They insist upon forcing a square peg into a round hole. This is not a pharmaceutical but they insist upon marketing, developing and managing it as if it were. Get a clue already.
