Was a great company, but being owned by a hedge fund means employees are forgotten and the only thing important is profits. So, they skimp on anything and hire idiots while laying off good employees. Major shift happened 5 years ago. Thermo much better, any good VWR employee should make the switch. VWR will badmouth Thermo all day long to it’s employees and make you think Thermo sucks. Well, make the switch and you will see how much VWR is wrong and a horribly run company now. Hopefully Avantor buying them will help them, but I am not holding my breath for that. Oh, and they will 100% lie to their customers, I worked for them and was told to lie to the customer. And be careful of their Catalyst services, most of the time they hire dummies and when someone quits, they will be “hiring” for 3-6 months with the spot open. All the time charging the customer for a “body” that doesn’t exist.
