Currently a few months in as an associate in Ortho - quickly learned that even down the road as a rep, this lifestyle won't be for me. Applied for an Advanced Wound Care associate role (Allevyn, etc). Apart from base/bonus and the company car - can anyone give any insight on the actual day to day responsibilities or growth potential in AWC and S&N? Thanks.

Why isn't ortho for you? Why do you think wound would be any different?

Took the job for the better lifestyle over trauma. My days start at 5am and I’m home most nights at 9/930 bc I’m covering most if not all the add ons for the old senior reps who don’t want to be bothered. On call every night and every weekend. And when you’re not on call, you’re still dragged in to cover. The lifestyle isn’t something i can commit to.

I can’t imagine working those hours no matter what the pay. Something has to suffer - whether it be a marriage or children.
