Calm down. It's OK. By the way, was this a flying squirrel?

Is this what Bayer has come to? A squirrel has become our chief source of information on site relocation? [Sigh.]

Why not? Our CEO has done nothing but foster bad morale and fear while producing nothing but a gym. I'd rather have a squirrel lead us.

Rumor has it that the announcement will be that we won't be moving until 2013. Other rumor is that they are still looking at the old Lucent Headquarters in Whippany, contrary to what the squirrel is saying above.

Lucent site is a dump in a bad traffic area. Why not just move to the trailer park across from Wayne on the west belt. Connect the trailers together with fiberboard and duck tape to get Bayer the sq footage and cost savings required.

Appreciate all the humor. It seems mysterious that all speak has come to a halt. Heard that there was a real obvious blunder in the original #1 choice -- that we would only get half the building and share the site with another company. Who let that one slip?? Sounds like something only the squirrel would do. Rather than a merger (who would want a 20 year old product and a whc basket full of problems? ) I hear big changes are coming -- internal changes to the H. O. so they are focusing on that, changing their site requirements from 1 million sq ft to 800,000 sq ft.

Yeah right sure....they will circle the wagons and pick one or two to take the blame and that will be that.....besides NJ (MO) will be the winner as it cant afford to lose more jobs or have another high profile corp bail on the state,so the incentives to stay will be great and guarantee Bayer a nice 10 years or more of offsets.

Let's try a consensus vote again:

    - Morris corp center, Parsippany: 1
    - Lucent-Alcatel, Whippany:
    - BASF bld, Mount Olive:

It's the Lucent (old Bell labs) site at 69 Whippany Road in Whippany, NJ. The wait is over.

This is true. Just saw it in corporate email. Town halls are within the next couple of weeks to discuss this.

But not til mid 2013! They put everyone through this insanity for a move almost 2 years from now? Ridiculous.
