Benco let’s 40 inside people go today

I don't recall the number. Sure hope not but I'm sure there will be a straggler here and there.

 

This wasn’t intended to make Chuck a hero in the least. This is simply to say that the FTC would have shut Benco down had they not agreed to a settlement. Things were not going chucks way in NY. It was very very bleak and the settlement was the only alternative given. He settled to save his pride and preserve some of his $ not to save the employees at benco.

 

The rest of the base bonus reps will be kicked out before the end of the year. And maybe a few commission reps who have been riding on their handful of accounts. Ultimate goal is to downsize the sales team drastically but that’s probably months away. They don’t need as many reps as their paying when inside sales can manage a lot and online is taking over. Why pay commission dollars when you can pay inside sales a crap wage. That’s how they’ll lower prices on supplies for docs and compete in the marketplace against Darby, Pearson, skye, tdsc, cda, source one etc etc. it will happen. It’s not a matter of “if” but “when” and it’s going to happen sooner than a lot of you or us have prepared for.
