The problem with Sunovion lately is they are becoming a big Pharma wannabe. Senior management is allowing marketing to run the company and encourage micromanagement of the field. They have moved away from the big picture. Sales results determines performance, not metrics measured by checking a box or thinking that a calling on a provider every week is productive. Sunovion didn't used to be a machine but allowed you to contribute as an individual, trusting your expertise and knowledge of local markets. We are moving away from a greatly simplified approach to a machine that places everyone in the same box as it relates to metrics and territory management. If you are a senior leader, know that many of your most creative, capable, and innovative people will see that a career in a smaller, more agile, and empowering environment lcan provide them with the greatest satisfaction, personal growth and loyalty to the organization. Sunovion used to be that smaller, empowering environment

Well said. It's a check the box metric based company now.

Just hope executive leadership reads this, losing good people every day. This was a great place to be for a long time, but since we put ex-Novartis and Pfizer people in charge, everything is going downhill. Losing the confidence and respect of the field is a problem, I hope we don't lose the great culture we had for so many years. Very disheartening and demotivating.

Amen. Will someone please remind little man Gish that this is not Pfizer and we are sick of him trying to make our company like a mini Pfizer. All the great people that are leaving are leaving because of this exact reason. No want wants this culture. Many of us are looking but I don't think they care. I know my team is looking.

Novartis people was 10 years ago. They are all gone. Seriously, get over it. Or leave. Took you 10 years to realize you are unhappy. Move on.

Too many little people here who are big Pharma drones caught up in their own little people syndromes. It's horrible here now and it's due to such clueless and poor leadership.

Actually, things were less big "pharmacized' when Gish was the leader over Latuda. He actually kept the big Pharma infiltration at bay. I'm not sure why he is allowing those around him to change this. I actually think he has lost power over it. HR and marketing are beginning to run our organizarion rather than our sales leadership. We are now thinking we need to be One Sunovion and discount the different, effective cultures that exist in each division. Pfizer did exactly the the same thing as a result of HRs increased power and influence. The marketing team continues to hire outside vendors to tell us how to run our business and that has always led to big Pharma. They buy into the metric focus and convince everyone else this is the answer for increased productivity. What they fail to see is the success that comes from experienced, innovative specialists that know their business and how best to influence it. They also fail to see they are destroying the culture that attracted talent to the organization and sucking the creativity and motivation from the individuals that are the face of Sunovion to our customers.

Yea vintage Sunovion leadership where there is no such thing as self accountability. It's always somebody else's fault. Leadership here is causing this place to crash and burn. When in doubt point the finger and blame somebody else but never show any self accountability. That's the game played here.

When you bring in retreads that have been indoctrinated from other big Pharma companies you can expect a change in culture that takes us towards big Pharma. Sunovion needs to bring in fresh blood and thinking. New people, ideas, and strategies that can lead to behavioral and performance changes. This can affect new ways of thinking and culture change rather than repeat the same processes that have been in place for the past 25 years.

The poor environment here has spread like a flesh eating bacteria that is resistant to all antibiotics. No turning back the realty of this. Too many mindless drones who are unqualified to be in there given leaderships roles and should have never been hired. These drones are not going anywhere and will impose their dumb Pharma tactics as it is all they know.
