Yeah, Tec 2.0.... Tecfidera minus the sh!ts. Novartis will launch its B-cell drug and squash any hope you had of seeing this go over a billion. Once generic Tec hits the market, put a fork in it.

I’ve seen Novartis launch drugs before, no matter how good the drug they will fuck it up - guaranteed.

    major kool aid drinker.

Here’s the dilemma with this drug. If Biogen wins the Tecfidera patent fight, this drug is $100-$200M a year in sales, mostly for people whose GI cannot tolerate Tecfidera. And that $100-$200M mostly cannibalizes Tecfidera sales. If Biogen looses the Tecfidera patent, they will try to switch patients off Tecfidera and onto this newly approved drug ... buuuutttt now in this scenario they have a generic to contend with that will easily scoop up what was at least 65- 75% of patients on Tecfidera... so then you’re swapping out 1 drug’s revenue stream of $4.4B a year for like $1.2/3B a year. That’s a big net loss of $3B in that scenario.

The drug has no impact if Biogen wins the patent battle... if they loose, the drug will save a part of the day but it’s still a net looser

And these clinical studies were run at Alkermes, not Biogen. Biogen R&D does not get to claim a win on this one

I think you are partially right except I don't think describing the sales as cannibalizing techfidera makes sense since most of those people would be switching to other drugs otherwise.

How can anyone take this post seriously when they repeatedly use “loose” “looser” and “looses” when the correct verb is lose?

Have you looked up the ladder here at Biogen??? You're run by Novartis flunkies, The Evil Queen of Botox as the VP and Oprah the East div manager and the Blonde snow flake out in the west. All the junk from Novartis is here and all the MS talent went over to Novartis.......so rethink who's going to mess what up.. HA!

Its all about patent extension - Tec going off patent 2020. So just trading one for the other - IF docs accept data & insurers accept. Pretty sure they will do the right thing & jack the price up.

Can someone explain the continued hemorrhaging of employees? Hey Ginger, I think we are above your 10% acceptable limit.

Because everyone knows that 2020 raises will be flat and a bunch of other companies are willing to pay to staff their organizations for success. Not Biogen!

Tec MIGHT be going off patent in 2020. (Fixed it for you). To my knowledge there is still pending litigation.

Whatever! We placate gays and transgenders, we recycle and make the top of “Most Sustainable”” company lifts. We are virtue signaling at its best!!

    Who cares about employees!

Employees continue to leave - do they know something? Is the party over at Biogen?

Uh. Do you release virtue signaling is the very easiest win for every company? That you even think this shows your complete inability to see the largest blinking light of strategy.
