Very interesting that the entire salesforce has been put on a PIP and there isn't a single comment on this board. I assume everyone else has quit.

Wonder what's going to happen first, layoffs or divestment? Both? Wilfred Brimley most likely brewing up new amazing ideas to save the business.

What's the story with this division? I am in the process of interviewing for an open territory. Are they way below plan?

underperforming, underdeveloped, undervalued, and run by an idiot you can't trust. pretty much like the rest of baxter.

By the time WB is done with this "turnaround," and people have been chopped to save $, and budgets cut to improve appearance of profit, Advanced Surgery will be up for sale.

Yeah, but even if you wanted to bounce...what decent jobs are available out there in the market? The pickings have been lean for sometime, especially for high-performers looking to earn more $$$

This division is run by an idiot Baxter picked up from the Zimmer Biomet trash pile. He knows next to nothing about managing a global division this size, got into trouble by allowing under table deals to happen in other countries in his previous job, forced Zimmer Biomet to pay $M in legacy fines for his mistakes, is most likely a IN white supremacist, and is now having grandiose visions about growing this business by forcing reps to magically sell numbers they can't possibly achieve with the shitty products at hand. That is the story.

Well if the past is any indication, he could bring the DOJ down on Baxter, incur a payout of a few mil $ in fines....he's got potential this one.

True story: for many years, the DOJ actually had offices at Baxter's HQ. This was an outgrowth of the "wild west" years when reps were selling Tisseel for everything from hangnails to adhesion prevention.

From what former reps and old-timers say, we DO NOT want them to come back.

Also, the glory days of device sales are over. As healthcare becomes more and more contract-driven and margins continue to shrink, the days of reps making $250k+ are gone.

And on top of that, the job security medical device reps once knew is another casualty. Companies are routinely take the advice of consultants who have a very superficial understanding of the business.

DOJ involvement was in Base for IV production, troll. $18 mil fine. Tis off label was an FDA warning with VP level dismissals in 06'. Another warning in 09' for superiority claims, no dismissals.
