in 15 YEARS, I have never been screwed like this. BIG PHARMA WOULDN'T DARE OF SCREWING PEOPLE OVER LIKE SOMAXON. THEY WOULD JUST BE DIRECT AND FIRE YOU!! Best of luck Somaxon. See u bankrupt in a few months. Now we know why everyone at headquarters has been jumping ship.
Anytime you sell a CNS product and Nrx's shows growth but Trx's decline than either your product is not efficacious or cost too much. In Silenor's case both apply. If this how they handle the double up contest, and now bonus, and dont forget that they ran Jeff off as well, how do think next year will go even if you get a short term rollover? Run Forest, Run!!
That's the problem too many reps are comparing this job to BIG PHARMA, pretty obvious it's not. As reps we only hit 45%! The companies goes as we go, at the end of the day if we treat this job like a show up and sign BIG PHARMA job then we won't be here long. We all get out of this job what we put into it.
The point being said is that you dont reduce payout by 55% and not tell anyone. We should not have found out by receiving our checks and wondering why it is half what it should have been. This should have been communicated to everyone beforehand. It is not about Big Pharma, small pharma! IT IS ABOUT BASIC RESPECT FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES!
Yeah, everyone blaming someone else. Somaxon blaming reps for no scripts, reps blaming Somaxon for giving 100% to goal payouts to only receive 45%.
Silenor's not doing well and there a lotta blame to go around. 1- Hiring P&G to sample drop. 2- Pricing a 30 day supply of Silenor at $175 ( what were they thinking?? ) 3- Terrible MC coverage which is just starting to improve. 4- mediocre efficacy 5- marketplace dominated by over 80% generics and generic doxepin for $5 a month. 6- very old salesforce with bad attitudes. Should have hired much younger and more motivated reps. just my 2 cents
Younger less experienced reps would have gotten crushed by this product. Another idiot post from Cafepharma. The only docs writing this shit of a drug is from docs we have relationships with. Your first 5 reasons I agree with, but number one is pricing not P&G relationship.
TOTALLY agree with this post.Rapport and relationships make a BIG difference, especially in this marketplace. The issue is that the f##kheads at the top of most companies(lawyers and bean counters) think its all about the message. The deterioration of pharma is this philosophy at the top!! Theory vs. practically! They just don'y get it!!
