Not gonna celebrate until cash is deposited, there could always be another "glitch" and we get bonus payout in 2018! Just sad what this place has become.

Or they will change the bonus plan with 1 week in the quarter left and Mark R. and Kevin C. will steal thousands of $$$ we all earned. Sounds far fetched to everyone except to those in NBU. It really happened just like that to us in Q3 of this year.

Looking for serious response... When putting in a resignation, does my last day of work need to fall on the day Q3 bonuses are paid out in order to get the pay out? TIA

If you have an employment contract that outlines your compensation, you are entitled to all compensation through your employment dates. Unless, of course, you are terminated with cause and there is some provision that makes "bonus" compensation null and void should you be terminated with cause.

WOW! That may be the first time I’ve ever seen an actual question followed up by an actual answer on CP.

You may want to double check any language about bonuses on intranet. Sometimes they will say last day of Q3 is xxx and you must either be employed until the close of that periods last day or you must be employed the day of the previous quarter payout. I thought shire was employed through the last eligible day and then they will pay you after you leave on the actual payout day. Most people don't have employmemt contracts in US.

If you are going to resign, you should know that benefits are cut off at the end of the month that you resign in. If you need benefits longer, make sure to resign at the beginning of the month. Shire, is overall pretty good to you when you leave, just watch for benefit cut off.

As we near Thanksgiving, we all should be thankful for having a well paying job with great benefits! Cut the name calling and give thanks to Shire and the management team. Remember only you can be responsible for your own success. Happy Thanksgiving and let's close out the year with a great sales effort!!
