So, how is Aion Labs planning on being successful, given that most of its current panel tests won't be covered by payers, and there's nothing unique in its non-panel offerings? Is there an unmet demand by physicians (or patients) for questionable testing that won't be covered by insurance?
If you knew anything about Age management you would know that the majority of patients that seek this type of testing are cash pay patients, so Insurance doesn't matter. Do some homework!
And why are they cash paying patients? Oh yeah, because the testing is worthless, so their insurance won't pay a dime. Targeting patients who seek out testing not supported by clinical data? Good luck with that strategy....
AION is completely smoke and mirrors like the rest of FV's ideas. FV is going after the 0.01%'ers and charging an exorbitant fee for these monster panels. He has a Technical Director and new Ops Director trying to make sense of it all but both of these people are only doing this through fear of their jobs. In reality no-one at PAML believes in this testing with the exception of those to ignorant to know better or those too fearful to say anything. Take FV out of the picture and allow this lab to get back into something they can be proud of! Providence is supposed to have a mission statement of caring for the poor and vulnerable...yea right.
