Earlier on Friday, the president had told senior aides that he had decided to remove Mr. Bannon, according to two administration officials briefed on the discussion.

But a person close to Mr. Bannon insisted that the parting of ways was his idea, and that he had submitted his resignation to the president on Aug. 7, to be announced at the start of this week.

Once again, the Trumpster takes credit for sumpin' he didn't do.

So, Bannon now goes back into the Fake News industry, Maybe he can take time out of his busy schedule to bathe and clear up the open wounds on his face.

I can't wait for Trump's twitter meltdown when Bannon goes on the attack. This will be like the Penguin and the Joker going at each other while Batman sits back and eats popcorn with his feet up.

Steve Bannon Speaks After White House Departure: ‘I’m Going to War for Trump

Recently departed White House strategist Steve Bannon is preparing a war for Donald Trump, not against him.
“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,” Bannon told Bloomberg Businessweek’s Joshua Green.

Green said that Bannon “sounded like he’d just consumed 40 Red Bulls” during his conversation with him on the phone.

Bannon did not specifically mention the White House “Democrats” advising Trump in his conversation with Green, widely considered to be his enemies during his period of service

Here we go now Sparky, Congress will begin working on a new healthcare bill across the aisles - why? Becuz da Trumpster can't deliver the goods! Neither could Cruz.

So now it begins, the Trump presidency is over.

As they say in the funny papers, too bad, so sad, your dad. :p:p:p

In just the last few weeks, Trump managed to shame Attorney General Jeff Sessions publicly; tweet a transgender military ban without informing the military; and politicize a speech to Boy Scouts and then lie about a phone call from a Boy Scout leader. He made up a phone conversation with the president of Mexico over border protection. He "joked" about Vladimir Putin kicking 750 diplomats out of Russia. He waited days to sign an overwhelming bipartisan Russian sanctions bill and then complained Congress made him sign it. He "joked" about cops roughing up suspects. He threatened a possible nuclear war with North Korea. And all of that was before his offensive responses to the events in Charlottesville. He is a mess who has a mess on his hands.

He never got an Ambassador killed, or needlessly prolonged a recession though. Oh and NEIL GORSUCH TOO. Bannon needs to start up Breitbart TV, which he will and shame little gamer-boy losers like you 24/7.

True Libs, he never got an ambassador killed but tonight he is expected to go against his campaign stance AND against Bannon's advice and announce we are going deeper into Afghanistan. I wonder... has he been talking to Cheney? The announcement will cap months of frequently West Wing debates pitting advisers advocating deeper involvement against aides warning that he risks getting sucked into a nation-building entanglement like he denounced during the 2016 campaign. It also comes after the departure of Bannon, who was the most forceful West Wing voice against escalating the conflict.

Now watch Sparky go bug fuck.

Sorry snowflake but there was absolutely nothing offensive about his remarks in response to the violence spawned by leftist thugs who illegally assembled and attacked legal protestors.

You are a mess. Trump is president and is far better than the one we just suffered through for 8 years who DID make offensive remarks many times!

Didn't watch it Vag. I knew it would be a Neocon wet dream. They and the Fairy's holdovers are compromising Trump already. Bannon has promised to call them out, so the deep State will attempt to take HIM out. He loses his base, he shouldn't even bother in 2020.
