Does anyone have any suggestions on how to not get killed financially with using our cars for work? I used to get money back on taxes taking the mileage but that deduction is gone. Since our car allowance is taxed as income it is not even close to covering the payment, vehicle maintenance, registration, insurance, etc. Curious what others are doing to lessen the loss?
I would speak to a good accountant. You can look into creating an LLC for yourself and that might open up some more options in terms of a vehicle. Again, make sure you know what you are doing first!
