I hear crickets, so maybe they were not what Joe was hoping for. But another reorg and a couple more rounds of layoffs should help get those employee engagement numbers up there. We need fewer people to do the work and more vice presidents to hold meetings, make demands and give orders. That will boost morale.
This gave me a laugh. I do not work for Covance but I do work for a large competitor. You could say exactly the same thing about my firm.
We like people who sit around and come up with stuff for other people to do or talk about how to get work done rather than actually doing it. What's wrong with that? Should we have a Kaizen?
