for those of us still here at Alimera, still working our butts off, doing everything we can to help the culture, we can't help but look at this thread and wonder how many of the grievances reached the right people. if there are problems with those in leadership positions, has anyone taken the time to raise it to someone else who may be able to speak with them? RE is actually very receptive to feedback, even if it hurts and wants every employee to feel valued. he has been handed the reigns to this ship and is trying his best to turn it around. we, inside these walls, know that this company is worth fighting for, worth coming to work for every day. those on this thread who are not appreciative of the new leadership team have not taken the time to actually have a one on one with them to hear about the efforts they are making to improve sales, get to and keep positive EBITDA, as well as create career opportunities for each level of employee. we believe this new leadership is going to move mountains and get this company going. it saddens us to see the level of disdain for a company when those that created the culture, for the most part, are no longer here. those leaders that are still here, are honestly trying and honestly care about changing patients lives. ILUVIEN is a great product and Alimera needs employees who believe in the product and the leaders paving the way to success. i hope that those with negative outlooks could keep to themselves instead of spitting negativity to those of us who believe in Alimera, who believe in ILUVIEN and all the lives it will help. and by the way, i don't drink koolaid.

Until the MDs who actually treat patients think this is a better/preferred treatment option only growth will be in third world countries where "growth" is stocking a few shelves. How about some stats on how many NEW USA MDs start using your product each quarter. How about some stats on how many actual implants per MD each quarter, not just what is being put on the shelves. How about some stats on how many residency programs are using your product. ALIM's revenue recognition is suspect. ALIM management is not trying to lower cost. i.e. what value does this new CMO bring to the process? ALIM management is NOT paying attention to shareholder value. More dilution is coming as the cash runs out. By the way NOTHING is in the pipeline. Confidence is NOT there for this one trick pony of a drug. Face reality........it really was an over hyped dud from the beginning meant to enrich DM and his cronies and provide them with great jet setting travel opportunities to give a brief pitch that no one was buying before heading to the ski slope/casino/beach etc. while awarding/cashing in options like drunk sailors. Where is the SEC and DOJ need them ?

What a long-winded answer - looks like DH was on cafepharma.

Purpose of CMO? Trick the Middle East and third world countries to use steroids and max out their IOPs.

You completely missed the point! What kind of kool aid are you drinking? Clearly you can’t think straight. Just another puppet, I’m sure! System should not allow shakedowns! Greed. More human greed than anyone can contemplate. Where is their integrity? Going after people for the sake of a shakedown? They show themselves for who they really are!! Now that’s a real shame. Shame on THEM!!

So sad to see one side of the coin on this thread. God forbid someone believe in the product or what the new leadership is doing to turn the ship around. Everyone jumps on someone for having a difference of opinion. That is just the world these days, I assume. Politics are the same way. Two different sides cannot get along. If you don't want to work here then don't. If you've already left, why are you wasting your time on a forum to further decay the culture that the new leadership team is trying to recover? So sad to see that in today's society all we can do is tear people of the opposite opinion down, and further feed the disease of negativity in society as a whole. ILUVIEN is great, and it truly changes patients' lives. That is what we should focus on, not the bad apples that have been a part of the company. It is only a matter of time before the true colors of a person are revealed. Karma always catches up to those types. Why even comment? If you can't say something nice to say, don't say anything at all. In the mean time, let us live our lives with a better outlook on what we CAN do to help patients, like getting rid of monthly injections.
Kool-Aid or not, ILUVIEN is a great product and we believe in it.

its not about the product (even though the injector jams). It’s about the asses that run this place They suck.

There in lies your problem. 1st - just because you believe it’s a great product does not mean it actually is. 2. And to prove this, just look at the amount of potential prescribers vs. actual. Not trying to be negative. Just real.

New cmo SK has taken leadership to a new low. Alimera culture is like doing the limbo. How low can you go? The mass staff departure across company will definitely continue. Culture is defined by top levels of leadership. We hear leaders say they are trying to create a new positive culture but the new cmo leader is busy digging holes to take Alimera to a new low. Beware don’t join Alimera.

Agree- perceiving we have a great product is different than having a great product. Fact is, if the product were so great, the retina community would have been using it a long time ago. And lowering the price at launch would have helped. We have a great product is great for us to say, but not enough to move the needle. And saying it is a great product, doesn’t make it great the next day. Maybe a mediocre product at best, but not a game changer. There are some really great, game-changing molecules getting approved in all sorts of areas. Iluvien is not great. Just a fact. Got sick of hearing my retina docs talk about anti-VEGF and Ozurdez.

It’s like a bad golf swing....you take a million practice swings, but unless your willing to change your grip, you’re just left with a bad golf swing.

Feels like a $600 EpiPen.......$9k(just for the med) per eye with the risk of high IOPs just does not make economic sense when there are cheaper alternatives. What does Medicare/Medicaid reimburse ? Direct marketing on the radio ?! How do you segment that market to reach the desired customer? How many residency programs are using ALIM product ? How many VA eye docs are using ALIM products ? Crickets......

We do not just "think" it is a great product. Have you seen the data? Data does not lie. Some patience experience higher IOP for a short period of time, but nothing that DEX does not do as well. We do not just believe in ILUVIEN. We know ILUVIEN is the answer to reduce frequent injections and get patients back to their regular lives. We have family and friends that use ILUVIEN and their lives have been changed for the better for it. It is ok that you do not believe, but please leave the culture alone. We are all working so hard to improve the morale, and working daily to be like a family again. Let us do that. This is a great place to work, and it will be a better place to work tomorrow and better than that the next day, until it is the best. We appreciate the feedback, fixed the applicator, and listened to doctors. We are now striving to be the best in Retina. Let us do that. And let us do that without the past being thrown in our faces so often. We love ILUVIEN; we love ALIMERA, and we love to work hard to make both successful!
