But, Aurora as a whole, has not been performing well (as far as Wall Street industry ratings go). I think Derm DX Tampa is a product of oversaturation of this market area trying to compete against the factory labs and being a specialized lab without another specialty to fall back on. Also, if you take in to account the management skills that have been complained about on this board, it does not sound like it would take much for Derm DX or Aurora as a whole to be out of business by the end of Q1 of 2014.

I did not know that FL was that competitive. In such a market, how does the original owner doctor intend to survive with a new lab. Would it not be better for him to retire with his money from the sale?

I will be interesting to see how Aurora does with further Medicare cuts. I hope, for the sake of employees, that Aurora survives.
