I feel for those who have to deal with the Sanofi re-treads. I honestly can't believe Eisai brought so many over. You are dealing with 50 something-year-old men who were with Sanofi for close to 30 years. They have lived in a bubble. They all went to the same colleges and all grew up in the same demographic.

 

Well got my first few callbacks complaining they can't get it through insurance. Yippee, we are off and running.

the scripts are going to be slow, and the company knows that. They knew there would be no Medicare/Medicaid coverage for the first 1-2 years.... that’s why they didn’t hire more people, territories are pretty big for PC and there are an absolute ton of customers that aren’t being called on.

secondly, Covid. Of course things are going to be slow.

I’ve heard one of the key reasons for hiring this particular sales force is to sell the new Alzheimer’s drug in the PC space. Biogen is still hiring like crazy loading up for it on the speciality side of things, so it seems like they’re favorable on its chances and not looking to hold on hiring due to Covid or approval chances.

 

New Alzheimer’s drug? Are you on crack? That’s never going to get approved.
