You're showing your ignorance. There were no low hanging fruit with this disorder. This was and is a disruptive therapy and getting patients on an orphan drug at launch can be extremely challenging. Wouldnt expect the sample droppers on here to understand any of this.
Btw the person calling out these folks for being fake rare disease reps is dead on. The recruiters absolutely know this. They have been clued in by the original NPS team and quite frankly it's obvious when you talk to these sample droppers. Don't any of you wonder why DB took several original Gattex people with him to his new gig and didn't want the lialda reps. Pretty funny.

Why are NPS former reps trolling a Shire board? You folks are sad and current Shire rare disease reps or any Rep does not care what you say. Proof is in the pudding. Put the numbers up with a rare disease product and any employer will hire you. Want to hire a bloated, overpaid, hag? Or a younger rep who has shown he/she can perform with bringing in the patients who are hard to find. It's not rocket science what we do. But as an employer I would hire someone younger and not over paid and bloated like you.. aka NPS rep. Stop trolling Shire boards. Get a life with your dream job. Ha!

What remains is a bunch of immature jokers from the top down. Smart people saw it coming and moved on. It’s fun watching
a crazy train full of immature jack wagons run out of control and off the tracks.

I can’t honestly say Iam surprised Ha!

Only the dregs are left because no one will hire them. Sure they get phone screens and an occasional face to face interview but no offers.

This is spot on. Not to say some of them aren't good reps and managers, but they are probably best suited for a drug like Lialda or a PC product. Simple messages and leave it at that.

That conference call in regards to bonus for Q4 is horrible! KW says we have an all time high for start forms and patient starts we'll you should pay people better! Otherwise the talent is going to move on!

So remind me how many of the lialda reps are landing rare disease jobs after shire? Yup that would be none. Have fun losers.

KW needs to go back and push paper. She should not be a leading a sales team when she has never sold in the space and has no insight into rare disease. Leadership! this is not Lialda. Pay higher bases and pay people on EVERY ship.

Same situation applies for the former NPS reps with the Natpara team. All of the original reps have left for better situations with real rare disease companies.

The exceptions are few of the original NPS reps have been promoted to RBDs, but frustrated with the lack of talent and high turnover among their RBMs. Shire has a poor reputation and cannot attract reps with rare disease experience. Typical candidates are insulin reps from Lilly, Sanofi, Novo etc. Don't believe me? Just ask them.

The RBDs are biding their time, getting management experience and will be gone soon. And the two clowns Jeff and Michael steering the ship wouldn't survive a day at Alexion, Spark, BioMarin, Ultragenyx etc

Unfortunately, even the best rare disease reps and managers are being forced to take 2 steps back and become a big pharma sales team. Leadership at Shire only knows the 2002 business model of reach and frequency. When leadership says there is no difference between rare disease and dry eye drops, you know it's bound to fail. People are biding their time and interviewing. Shire leadership has begun and eventually will completely destroy any products/disease state that isn't ADD pills or dry eye drops. Unless they are willing to adapt and listen to the people who know what they are doing and are actually still here.

Home office insider here. There will be layoffs by years end of RBMs and RBDs. Figure I warn you now since your leadership won’t and can barely manage themselves. Sorry!

Ummmm they’re destroying the NBU as we speak. Pulling resources and budget from their launch and giving it to the other BUs. It’s a cluster up here. FO and PS are running all of it in the ground.
