Don't waste company resources on the Pulse survey or any teleconferences regarding diversity or development. You well know that in quite a few regions the leadership teams are white. Sure there are some blacks or Hispanics to help prop up the diversity numbers. These “leaders” look at everything through their limited lens. They don’t get differences in expression, use of language or attitudes. I’ve seen a few minority pss’s harassed by leaders for no reason.

Development is not for all. Behaviors are used to bring down year end ratings for the non-favored. It should be removed. It’s only used as a tool for punishment. Culture is a term tossed around that is meaningless in the field. CBDs and Dsm’s develop their own culture of bullying. HR leaders are so clueless what really goes on.

All of this diversity bullshit is a total joke at AZ. The only way to get hired in this company is to be whiter than y the white person who interviews and hires you. And to get promoted, just try speaking your mind or challenging the ideas being force on us from above. We may have people who look different in leadership but trust me, they all think and act the same. Diversity is about respecting and considering other points of view and values. None of that exists in this company.

And Dear HR, why are all the open leadership positions in the NE that were held by females being filled by males? I can think of at least 5 DSM and CBD's that went this way. What's up with that?

Hired the best, said bye bye to the rest. Like it should be. If any "diversity" candidate has an equal resume and interview, hire them. If not, don't. Pretty easy really. And note I mentioned "equal" not superior.

Above here at AZ refers only to dsm and cbd. Layers above are clueless as to what the underlings are doing and the actions they take to cover their butts for their own ineptitude.

Yep. Like it should be. Continue to promote based on “whiteness” and gender regardless of skills or past performance. If you’re white and male, you’re in and if you have blue/green eyes it’s a gimme.

Bullshit. AZ has bent over backwards to hire and promote women and minorities. They have made countless exceptions like allowing them to commute at a major expense to the company instead of forcing them to relocate like their male counterparts. They have suffered thru unbelievable incompetence in giving them multiple second chances. Not to mention the number of reverse discrimination cases H.R. has lost over the years attacking innocent white males and protecting female and minority accusers.

Bull. There have been just as many examples on the white or male side. I remember quite a few disasters there as well.

Well of course there would be examples on both sides of incompetent disasters. The point of the post is that those with women and minorities are forced errors trying to hit some bullshit diversity gap number.

As opposed to the forced made by hiring the white boy.

AZ has spent millions promoting diversity. HR has maintained a quota target forever. What a total waste of energy and money. The lie that diversity leads to a more profitable company is a rabbit hole that a lot of companies have gone down.

Diversity numbers are met by hiring minority employees for lower levels. That leaves them wide open for harassment from the white peoples above them. And yes Virginia it is rampant. When white folks feel threatened they attack.

Anyone notice how on the HR Skype national teleconference ALL the HR higher ups were white?! Diversity is definitely something they are interested in. Along with improving the culture. Funniest stuff ever!

Most of corporate America uses the heads of H.R. as their diversity shot in the Annual Report. They are usually the only minority faces in the picture. AZ is one of those.
