That every little exception related to the company, outside of HR issues, have to be blessed by him. Shipping outside the norm, return of items, credit, everything! It is not surprising this place is so messed up. An accountant with no sales experience driving the ship of a sales organization. Pathetic!
He has dirt on Charlie or someone higher up the food chain. Charlie has referred publically to him as “the grim reaper” and “Darth Vader”. That in itself should be telling coming from a CEO to his report. How does that happen? How is Furtaw still around when it is abundantly clear that he has wrecked the infrastructure of the entire company? How is it that a once great place to work has become “just another medical company” in a 3 year time frame? How is it that several top sales elite performers have departed and many more previously untouchables have now placed themselves in the job market due to the Furtaw micromanagement and nothing be done? He has to possess dirt on someone!
Charlie absolutely loves PF and has privately stated he is grooming him to take over the US organization when he retires. He refers to him as “The Little Wizard”! Patrick controls most of the day to day decisions, so if you don’t like it, I suggest you find somewhere to hang your hat. Most people inside the organization feel he has and does a wonderfully glorious job.
