Dishonest Senior Leaders

    They tell us this reorg is all about removing barriers to get better growth when all it was about was removing people so senior leaders could get better compensation. I am sure you will see a lot of the people who left updating their LinkedIn profiles this weekend!

    Senior leaders get minimum 6 month packages, most are closer to 1 year. No hurry to update Linkedin or start looking for a job.

    By the time they need a job, the economy will be booming again and they'll jump back into their old spots at Medtronic or somewhere else.

    Leaders at Medtronic get into their positions by smoke screening, sugarcoating, and spinning a web of lies. Try to change or confront this and you will be forced out.

    whats your source ? And ultimately if you seek honesty in comms you may be better served working for your own terms.

    And here we go - announcements out, all those high level VPs just moving from 1 office to another. Everyone finding a soft landing. Where is Geoff gonna get his $450M of savings?

    You can be a CEO or you can be a transparent truth teller but not both. When profit is cut due to whatever circumstance so are costs (and people). There is nothing new under this sun. If you thought Goeff was telling the truth about not laying people off over covid19 impacts i have a restaurant to sell you downtown.

    There is some truth ---- Geoff and Omar were planning this reorg long before Covid hit (OU's and mfg consolidation, at least), so in Geoff's mind he didn't lay off because of Covid.
