i worked for medwest & assoc (chicago) before they broke him (paul lopez) up and gave other territories (st. louis, IN, MI) to new or existing distributorships. st. louis was given to the guys in KC. they are CHEAP!!!! i didnt work for them but my friends did and they are all gone. their best rep (cory texier) was killing it and they cut his commissions from 15% to 6%!!! selling the arthrex products was fun and they have good stuff, but this distributor is shit! now, things could have changed but i doubt it. if you are new to med device or laid-off, i would say go for it. just be prepared to be frustrated with their structure and how they do biz.
