that this company is completely floundering around and has lost the way? General medicine is heading for more cuts come Q1. It's the most logical outcome based upon current trends.

Where is the proof and what will happen if we become Pfizer?

They don't even have much of a tax inversion incentive anymore. With Restasis LOE and Botox seeing some competition within a year, I don't see why Pfizer or any other big Pharma would want to acquire Allergan.

Allergan should be scooping up more R&D companies though to at least try and secure a future.

scooping up more early stage /r&d companies is a non starter if the goal is success. Agn utterly fails at integrating their m&a activity. This is where good tech comes to die. Unless it’s fully baked (and even if it is) when we buy it, it’s dead.

Besides, external science team wouldn’t know a good piece of tech if it probed them in the shower

Definitely circling the bottom of a Tijuana urinal.

Spot on poster! Saunders and his peeps are such idiots they couldn't tell good tech from a bad movie! These clowns remind me of the back up singers to the back up singers. Time will show that getting rid of legacy R&D for the sake of buying tech will have costed AGN and shareholders more money than if AGN kept the #5 ranked R&D group in pharma. Saunders and Nicholson need to go!

Pfizer said on Wednesday it would reorganize into three units, separating its consumer health-care business that the U.S. drugmaker has been trying to sell since last year.

The news comes a day after the company decided to defer drug price increases for no more than six months, following criticism from President Donald Trump for raising list prices of some medicines.

The units would be Innovative Medicines, Established Medicines and Consumer Healthcare. The company is currently split into two units - Innovative Medicines, which includes the consumer business, and Essential Health.
