The exception would be the person who is dying and going bankrupt trying to pay for the drug. It’s a pretty bad deal for them.

Emphasis on "if you can keep it." Enough deserving hate of pharma for the reasons in your above example that it's unlikely to be the same in 5-10 years. Who would shed a tear other than those directly employed by the industry?

thanks! If you also look at your stocks that are underwater they are only 5 to 10 dollars away from being worth something!
In my situation that means an additional 32,000 shares! So at the end of the day that’s 65,000 shares x .41! I’ll take that each qtr and enjoy the Country Club life!
I’m a big fan of BMS!!!!

Hope pinching those pennies and driving your crappy little Volvo was worth sacrificing your family.

nope, it’s true! The stock conversion from Celgene to BMS doubled both above and underwater stocks. No BS on this at all. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this.

What was there to “ learn” in the last 15 years? Pharma is complacent. The 100 yr. old Pharma “sales model” was obsolete 20 yrs ago. In case you can’t see it, reps are being phased out. We’re becoming obsolete and unwanted. We’ve needed turned into robots.
You and the the rest of the petulant kids like you are a joke, the clowns in this circus we call Pharma. It’s millennial airheads like you that turned this once respected profession into a catering business. Doctors turned away from discussing drug treatments because you idiots have no clue what you’re talking about and were too busy shoving a computer screen in their faces with your commercial sound bite of the month and begging for a signature. If a doctor asks a question that you should know the answer to, you stumble all over yourself , and your “answer” is “Uh, I’ll have to get back to you on that, or you’ll stumble through marketing canned “messages” .” Wasting a doctor’s valuable time is why their doors are closed to you foolish dolts. How many doctors actually converse with you at lunch, acknowledge your presence, even IF they actually enter the room?
BMS is stupid for hiring and keeping you clowns employed while there are many delivery services to deliver their lunches at a much lower cost and less interruption of the office routines. They could easily be trained to not be so obnoxious while shoving
that computer into the doctors’ faces at much less than your inflated, exorbitant, and unearned salary.
Didn’t you ever learn to think and know what you’re talking about before you start flapping your jaws?

This is SPOT on. I have never seen so many overpriced idiots in my life. All they do is constant POA meetings to discuss "tactics'. It is ridiculous. One rep would be enough but then not even sure which could handle it ALONE.

It’s a pathetic day when BMS Oncology reps are people who literally have zero science background.

You embarrass yourself with your juvenile, immature, ignorance and stupidity.
It’s people like you who supply all the deadwood. It’s the 20+ year employees who built BMS, to its high stature and success in Pharma. It’s YOU and those like you that are bringing it down.

Science not needed any longer. It’s all prepared, read the script marketing commercials that are not to be deviated from. Why do you think we hire such low intelligence and no talent people? The job has been dimmed down to a level that a smart high school grad could easily do this job with little difficulty
Besides, college grads aren’t taught subject matter, how to think critically, interact with people, etc. Instead, they’re being indoctrinated/ brainwashed with radical liberal “progressive” “socialistic” BS that’s destroying the world.

College is BS...bullshit.....MS..... more shit.....PhD.....piled higher and deeper. Sad, but true.

Our geography is virtually no access now but managers and reps don’t want to talk about it because there’s some perception that it will hurt job security and the gravy train of base salary checks. We are all basically complicit in a scam here, but what can one do?

Nothing. an be done. What will soon happen is one of the major companies will finally have a massive layoff and purge the overabundance of reps falling all over each other and accomplishing no more than one per large territory can do.
When that happens other companies will follow.
Pharma will soon be hit hard with all the free healthcare talk and drug pricing controls. Once Medicare gets the green light to negotiate prices, as they should, Pharma is finished......UNLESS we start charging all foreign countries more equitable prices than the rock bottom prices we’re charging, them now.....which is basically giving them our drug.....and countries sell them back to us....Canada for one.

    Our days are numbered.

No worries! Bernie Sanders has job openings as lot of his staff members are leaving because of low wages. The good news is: Everything is free! Bad news is: wages are less than $15 per hour, and no company car. Then again, who needs a car under the “Green New Deal” anyway?
