Ethicon selling this thing for under $500. Sales pitch is 'Same as Ligasure Impact but cheaper'. Surgeons say it works far better than previous Enseal products. Could be a big problem for us.
The X1 on is going to fail like all Enseal handpieces. It is being sold by Ethicon reps who are taking it up the exhaust!
What value does a new vessel sealer actually bring for patients? Enseal, Ligasure, Thunderbeat, Voyant, reprocessed shit, they all do the same thing. If it's cheap enough, or the contract is lucrative enough, hospitals will buy it, but what value does it bring to patient care?
Well, X1 Is not cheaper enough to be able to convert Impact at my academic teaching hospitals. Try harder ETH
