They have epilepsy drugs, they just don't know how to sell them or face the reality that they are drugs of last resort. Not to worry with PH at the helm I'm sure he'll be able to apply some reach and frequency tactics from The gold old days of mass marketing at Sanofi and they'll become leaders in their class.
Don't hold your breath. Paulie is the King of no accountability (for himself at least). The field and marketing on the other hand are going to feel the pain.
Eisai epilepsy has been mismanaged since they got rid of Tim Kopko and Thomas Flatten. Say what you want, but they were two smart guys who knew the epilepsy market. Tim especially was a smart, open-minded guy who truly cared about the people who worked for him. Had those two been left in place to run Neurology, things would be much better. Sales would be higher and expectations would reflect reality.
Are you suggesting Hawthorne doesn't get it?! He single handedly made Sanofi the oncology powerhouse they are today! Wait a minute........that was Aventis.. what does Hawthorne do again?
