No new indications or products for years. The word is out. If you feel as if you could be at risk, start making an exit plan.

I'm hearing the same thing. It's hard to justify a sales force this big with a shrinking market for 65+ and nothing new for a few years.

Recommendations + sole source = less reps. Hw about cross training our other primary care sales forces to promote? Consultants need to justify their fees by showing the company how to reduce costs and maximize earnings. That ALWAYS means less bodies on the payroll. I don’t want to hear about how “ different” vaccine sales are (anyone can be trained to do it). Aren’t we now promoting crapping in a bag and mailing it? Pfizer will always find a way to reduce costs- they sure as hell aren’t releasing any blockbusters. Those days are long gone. Good luck guys.

i wouldn’t mind a layoff. Warn period, severance, time off.

Right, but this was already known last year when cuts were made.

Not true. 18-64 reco was on the horizon and now not until at least 2021.

You all have seen the vaccination rates. Less than 30 percent nationally (seniors) despite pcv being a category A. You think they will layoff when we can still triple the business in that space? Doubtful

To the post above, you don't know what you are talking about. Year over year sales have been declining for the last 2 years. Baby boomers turning 65 can't make up for the that, not enough of them.

They just launched a new dtc campaign with commercials. Think they would blow all that money if there was no growth opportunity?

Who just did? What growth opportunity?

The budgets have been shrinking every year for dtc and so will the sales force.

Chill pill. Don't you think when the expansion took place they considered the decline in 65+? There will be a couple of lull years with some minor tweaks but even without full Adult still generating $6 billion plus developing the account and pharmacy channel and the killer pipeline they are not going dismantle and rebuild.
