Eye Care morale at an all time low...

    Nearly every Allergan EC rep I know is looking for a new job...

    -Viuty scripts have stopped growing but management keeps talking about how the launch is going well when it's obviously not.

    -They killed the portfolio accelerator and put in a rule that lowers payouts if we over-perform.

    -At this pace even the top territory will only make about $2500 from Vuity scripts, most territories will only make less than $1200.

    -They only way to really make money with Vuity is the contest, which they've tied to metrics, and are only allowing about 1/3 of the territories to make any real money with.

    -We can't keep a single strategy for more than two days without changing it, which means nobody knows what actually works.

    -The micromanagement is INSANE.

    -The vast majority of reps have lost trust in the company in the past three months, most are looking at other companies if not actively applying or have already left; all while management is oblivious or just plain doesn't care.

    I've been in the industry for well over a decade; this is the fastest I've seen a company tanks its internal reputation.

    Am I missing anything else?

    Agree with all of this. No acknowledgement. It’s amazing how little we are making for busting our asses and marketing is laughing all the way to the bank at this point.

    Also, another rep with more of a decade of loyalty here and definitely have lost enough trust to be open to career options at this point.

    Can someone even clarify what it looks like moving forward with or without Restasis? Nope.

    Everyone I’ve spoken to is bummed out, and looking for other positions. The IC plan was a major blow and the micromanaging basically makes this specialty gig primary care.

    Serious question, who in analytics thought Retina specialists would write Vuity? Need to know.

    I literally never go on this website…

    But after another day of having to justify to my manager why I’m not chasing around retina specialists, and drs who’s patients are all on government assistance (who Abbvie considers Vuity “tier 1” targets??) I can’t handle it anymore. It’s like the twilight zone.

    Who made these ridiculous target lists, and more importantly WHY is allergan doubling down on them when they already see it’s not working? I’ve never seen anything like it

    Allergan used to be an amazing place to work, but in the last 3 months it’s like they want their sales force to go into a death spiral

    When they scheduled the IC call last week, I assumed they were going to acknowledge the target lists were off, not double down.

    I’m no analytics person..but. Why would they create a target list based off of antibiotic and allergy rx (which are medical and covered by insurance), instead of data based off cash products like Latisse or Upneeq? And why are 90% of targets MD and not OD?

    Maybe if they addressed the complaints or fixed the dirty laundry people would be happier... funny how that works, isn't it?

    I just want to take a sec and say how happy I am that you're still here encouraging all of us to have a good day. You have very little to offer in the form of substantial advice or information, but even when you pretend you do, it always ends up being incorrect or irrelevant. :( You've been so kind to provide us all with comedy and entertainment for the last several months and I for one am here for it!
    I don't know who you are or where you actually work, but it's a ton of fun guessing! If you're as important as you try to sound, it's awesome that you get paid the big bucks to hang out here on CP all day long! And if you're not, this probably makes your life more exciting- it's a win for everyone!
    So hats off to you, mystery person, and GOOD DAY!

    I’m so glad someone came in here to actually post the realities of what we are facing currently. No one is listening in upper management and everyone is an ostrich sticking their heads in the sand about this product launch. Who’s getting fired is they actually admit to all of us that the call panels are completely flawed? Let us actually be business owners in our adult lives and stop treating us like infants just so you can justify your jobs and right-fight! Help the salesforce, PAY US, and be real about the current situation for once.

    Add to the mix the uncertainty of product mix/portfolio given the current generic space and dry eye. No answers, nothing firm, no clear direction. Is anyone truly manning this ship and in touch with reality?
