Your lucky I answer this .. The status of voluntary action indicated (VAI) is a step down from the official action indicated The change to VAI status at Austin and Rocky Mt is an acknowledgement of progress made This will all be resolved within a year BUT Hospira will continue to fail if current management is left in place Again I say money talks and bull shit walks On the street
HSP stock killed it !!! Don't be stupid and you won't get bashed here The FDA and Corporate America all play the game and mega millions are exchanged for a slap on the wrist Ball knows how to play game but will get out of Dodge when it all goes bad taking with him a whopping 12 million

They always steer FDA clear of Extrusion area and rusty tables in clean rooms(particularly the filling areas)

Don't fool yourself the current Mgt is going no where. So its absurd to expect anything other than what you've already seen from this company. Youre right they are playing the game, but unfortunately people are hurt by the crap this company seems to think is acceptable to produce.

There will be observations but unlikely to be anything earth shattering.

Name me one person killed by faulty Hospira product.
Thousands of products/services are dangerous and mold or glass particles or rust
are minor things compared to faulty machinery and other products that maim and kill thousands every year Don't worry if it happens a big nosed lawyer will step in like a leech and recover money from Hospira

You are naive ... Hospira spends millions on settling out of court wrongful death suits. Just pick up and read a 10k report.

Since you like to keep your head in the sand here is just one such example ... btw those big nose lawyers are smarter than you think and definitely smarter than you.

Sodium Chloride Injection Recall, Lawyers for Hospira Lawsuit

By Pritzker Law Firm on April 2, 2013

Hospira Sodium Chloride Recall a patient developed copper toxicity (copper poisoning) after a sodium chloride injection manufactured by Hospira, Inc. Brass particulate, in the form of several small grey-brown particles, was identified in the primary container of the injection solution. Our lawyers are available to help patients injured by this product who are interested in a lawsuit against Hospira. You can contact them for a FREE case review HERE.

Prompted by this incident, Hospira issued a recall of one lot of 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP, 1000 mL, Flexible Container, NDC 0409-7983-09. The affected lot number is 25-037-JT (the lot number may be followed by a -01 or -90), with an expiration date of January 1, 2015. Hospira is investigating to determine the root cause.

Tests on the brass particulate found that it contained copper, zinc and lead. If injected, a solution containing brass particulate could cause clotting in the small blood vessels and/or copper toxicity (copper poisoning), which could result in hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) and liver toxicity (chemical-driven liver damage), including potentially fatal hepatic necrosis (death of liver tissue).

The recalled Hospira sodium chloride injection solution is used as a source of water and electrolytes and is packaged in a 1000 mL flexible container. The affected lot was distributed nationwide between January 2013 and March 2013 to wholesalers/distributors, hospitals and pharmacies

Apparently the Austin site received a 483 from the Feds this morning. Anyone heard the details of the observations listed?

You are dead wrong you show an ad for a lawyer soliciting business from dead beats looking to sue for any little thing If it's so bad why do attorneys have to recruit clients You also are naming Abbott products which have nothing to do with Hospira You are desperately grasping for straws trying to find any little thing to prove me wrong but bottom line you prove nothing !
