Read some of the other threads.

Entresto is a great and fun drug to promote, but as a contract rep, you are treated like scum of the earth from the Novartians. You will get NO respect whatsoever, nor recognition from your day to day Novartis manager.

We just got back from a national meeting in Dallas. As contract reps, Novartis couldn't have us staying at the same hotel as them (and the hotel where the meeting took place). We had to be bussed into the meeting 30 min each way. Also, at the meeting, there was not 1 mention from Novartis upper management of PDI's contribution. Not even 1. Pathetic.

You will be calling only on primary care, your teammate (who you're expected to work hand in hand with on a daily basis) is called a CV-2 rep. They have 70% primary care, 30% cardioogists and they will get ALL the credit for any work you do. They are paid at least $30,000 more than you.

Those are the facts. You decide.

This is very right on. But, let's not also forget the constant coaching from the NVS manager because know if you take the job they will not respect your experience at all. You will also be questioned why you didn't do 3-4 lunches a week and at minimum 6 programs in a 2 month period. You will be expected to deliver more work than the NVS reps for 2/3 pay and be disrespected in the process. the turnover rate is greater than 50% at this point and many of the better reps have left because they got completely fed up w/ the constant disrespectful behaviors by NVS and from PDI. I was one of them, left after 8 months no job and I have no regrets because it was by far the worst work experience in 20 some years. It was also the first time since college I left a position w/o having another lined up.

In addition to constant micromanagement our bonuses are also not paid within what would be considered an acceptable amount of time for any company. Because you report to a Novartis ABL you will have all the stress, pressure, and expectations that are placed on their own reps but you will be paid at minimum 30k less than a Novartis rep. They are well aware that our sales force knows this and nothing has been done to fix it or attempt to make it right. Some of the Novartis ABLs also openly put down the pdi reps to their own reps so there's that too depending on which one you end up with.

All this is so true regarding th contract between Novartis and PDI. Now I have seen that Novartis is going after PDI reps and getting them fired for compliance issues! This is a big investigation going on nationwide. Why doesn't Novartis just end the darn contract if they are that unhappy with PDI?

I notice NVS likes to see us squirm. They enjoy watching us suffer. Remember Sandoval did business with the Nazis. These people are sadistic, self absorbed control freaks with no respect for human life.

Yes. They have been going after reps! I believe they think it's ok to push people out who are not with the program. It's all about the cult. They think they are a superior race and those that can't cut it must leave.

The posts above are not true everywhere, yet much of the PCP business that the PDI reps are getting credit for and paid on includes: 1. Cardiology NP's/PA's that are being tracked only as NP/PA or "others"; Hospitalists that are called on by CV2/CV1; and PCP refill scripts originally written by Cardiology. We want PDI to succeed, it will take time, just hang on and stay focused on your part of the deal...the huge increase in volume is right around the corner...Positive Tension works!!!

It's 2 years into this venture for NVS and I think it's safe to say at this point PCP's aren't very willing to write Entresto. NVS will cut its losses with PDI next year and end the contract early IMHO.

So cornering the MD and then asking them what the hell their problem is for not writing the drug and pissing them off is now sales? Compromising your relationship and future relationship w/ an MD is a good idea? Sales are relationship building and helping and MD solve a problem not trying to piss them or the office off. In addition by asking the MD this pointed question you are essentially questioning his 10-12year Medical Education compared to your 4 year business college degree, not the brightest strategy IMOP. What are you going to do when the MD/Staff decide you are nothing but another hack drug rep and don't want to be bothered w/ you anymore? How are you going to sell future drugs? You are letting NVS compromise your office relationship.

Are people making their bonus on this contract? How does the contract bonus compare to the Novartis rep's bonus?

There is only one reason to accept a position on this contract and that is if you are desperate for a job and that's ok.
