From a friend in Miami Lakes - “They showed us all the critical projects for next year for CRHF, and there was not one LVAD project on the whole list. It feels like a funeral starting before we are dead”.

He’s too busy with special projects and employee group activities to worry about the buisness.

-How much longer will this continue?

-We have declined each quarter and no plan to return to growth.

    -Need new direction and leadership.

Never seen a GM before less personally invested in their buisness. Feels like we are a distraction.

Glad to see all problems have been fixed on Heartware and no more recalls at Medtronic! DFM / DFR, hiring more engineers with Masters Degrees, and bringing in more management to provide leadership is really paying off big time and now MCS is the envy of the rest of Medtronic and the world!

MCS needs to get out of CRHF org the way AF broke free. Too small and different from ICD/pacer buisness, we will never get the resources we need to succeed. Better chance with Coyle making decisions on funding than Marinaro. NN won’t advocate hard and risk rocking the boat. He’ll ride this for a couple years and then declare success and move on.

look for the fully implantable systems to be a game changer here.

Hard to change the game when you cancel the project.

Now that is the type of leadership we have become accustomed to. Find every way to lose.

Be careful what you wish for! Plant manager is out (“retiring”), who’s next?

Most agree. How do you miss your number constantly and still stay employed?

if heartware was still independent MVAD would have been commercialized by now. Also new controller.

We can be part of Medtronic and win but need the right leadership, which we don’t have.
