Layoffs are coming. Not sure how it will affect sales reps. Sales management, that's where the cutting will be done. You can expect 35% of FLLs to be displaced. Some will be offered other roles but not many. They are costly and add almost no value to the bottom line. Best of luck to all. It's gonna be brutal come October.

We keep hearing this about FLL’s. Is this wishful thinking or do you have firm info? Please quit saying this if you have no firm info. People very upset and stress disorders setting in for many. Fine with me If layoff announced -just be honest Gsk and be transparent which has been your buzz word for so long. Please live up to what you say-you are losing all credibility with your employees if you don’t act soon.

Nobody that posts here has any advanced knowledge of anything that will happen regarding the reorg. Anything posted here is just a complete wild ass guess. Your FLL and FVPs also have zero actual information about what will happen.

Selling expenses are an administrative cost.

Wrong. Selling expenses are not an administrative cost. Not to say there won’t be a layoff. I have no idea

Of course lay-offs are coming. Quiet lay-offs/managing reps out are happening right now. The decisions have been made and SLLs and FLLs are aware of this, they just don’t know who will stay or go. They have been told to aggressively manage out poor performers. Question is, are they making room for themselves in a field role? SLLs and FLLs will be the next round in this reorg, but unsure if this will actually be announced or just happen. HEAR is not a coincidence. FLLs have been instructed not to have conversations with their reps regarding HEAR.

Lay-offs were going to occur or announced in the October or November time frame, however, there has been too much talk and distraction in the field. Therefore, the decision was made to move up the time frame to September.

Management has been awful to the field, this is one more example.

as stated earlier, FLL and FVPs have no real knowledge of what will happen. Sure they have been told to mange poor performers out, this is actually true. Whoever said that FLL and SLL are next in the “silent” layoff is also just taking a wild ass guess. When GSK has a reorg they don’t tell FLL and SLL because they know at least one will leak the plan. No one here has any actual knowledge of what will actually happen.

4). It’s a global company, and we don’t know what is happening in the rest of GSK-World. The US is going through upheaval, we know that.

Try reading an earnings report. It’s called SG&A.

Point 4. BINGO!!! The truth does hurt and you are being attacked for speaking the truth. I will never forget the last national meeting when Emma invited ALL EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP on stage. I think there was ONE male.
Actually, he might not even be leadership because he was the same male that held the cardboard car key and pranced around while they were passing out car upgrades based on detailing. Trusted to hold a cardboard car key, lol!

This is YOUR estrogen fueled dumpster fire and we are getting burned by it. GSK went to the opposite extreme of when it was mostly men running the show..... you know, that stretch of time when we were extremely profitable.

Granted, the vax reorg of 2010 was a long time ago and under Deidre, but I seem to recall it was announced in Sept and reps received phone calls from DMs in October.

The WARN act would require 60 days for a large (50+) layoff, so that would put us at Oct 1?

The unfortunately removed had the rest of the year paid w/benefits and packages started Jan 1.

Well, who knows. Live for today.
    Good luck to all.
