Gender equality at NNI

Being an employee at NNI for10+ years, I’m often surprised to hear about harassment, discrimination, pay inequalities etc ...

I’m a guy and think Novo has done an incredible job of having mostly a level playing field. If anything, I’d say there’s a slight favorable bias towards females.

I do get tired of all the ‘special’ groups. If you’re of color, LBGTQ, non- pure American, or female, you’ve got a group here and a favorable bias towards you.

If you’re a white guy, and gawd forbid over 50, you’re so screwed ...

The white male is viewed as the "privileged" one and, ultimately, cast aside for fear that any recognition of his accomplishments will continue to disenfrachise another protected class, be it gender, sexual orientation, or culturally-based. I have never seen a company so determined to reward status over competency in role or achievement and accomplishment. Flame me if you want, but I have seen it over the course of my 10+ years at NNI. Sad state of affairs....

 

The vet fact that corporate America continues to create and promote these “special” groups only furthers the division. The exact opposite outcome that is intended.

 

Totally agree.
Now as a Caucasian male, I have negative views of so many different groups bc of these special arrangements.
Maybe I’m just stupid or blind, but I don’t care about your color, your preference, your eyes or your genitals. But ... we’ve now made all these things an issue.

What does "non pure American" mean exactly? Didn't realize we had "Non Pure Americans in Novo Nordisk."

The bottom line is this. The best person should be hired into any position. We are in the situation we are because the wrong people were put into positions based on race, color, sex, etc. etc. etc. we did it so much that when you multiple the bad hires by lost business we now continue to downsize. Playing favorites has no place in the corporate world because it destroys companies. I say we hire without knowing the name of the candidate or what the person looks like. Hire the person who interviews the best. No place for affirmative action of any kind in the corporate world if you want to remain highly profitable in a very competitive market. Hire the best candidate.

 

This sums up what has lead to the current situation.

 

Affirmative action has destroyed Novo. You cant name one overqualified minority at Novo but we see overquilified white guys in rep jobs. Make Novo Great Again.

 

lol so now its the blacks, gays, women, etc fault that novo is failing lol i've been to many many national sales meetings and regional meetings and it's incredible how many blacks are in upper management presenting on stage(NOT). it;s ALL white men and white women.
