It's actually very simple, generic icsLaba is going to hit and change everything, and its coming sooner than you think...
PBM's, prior auth's, pharmacy switching,,, it will be out of our control...

GSK is making administrative cost reductions, aka downsizing. There is a "silent layoff" currently in play until Dec, FLL's and reps will be cut (FLL's will be offered vacant rep territories.
Syneos reps are disposable-doesn't matter whats in your bag, if they want you gone-you're gone! That's always been in the cards, why do you think your management was pushing the "developmental pathways" bullsh!t- not because your so awesome!!
The sole purpose is for employee retention.
Don't believe me? Look up the most recent press release from the mother land... it's all there in black and white.

FTM's know, FLL's know, (advair ppl don't know sh!t) but that's irrelevant-they're the lowest rung on the ladder...

I’m hearing that the headcount reduction of sales reps will start with Syneos employees. I think that layoffs are going to be steeper than many of us are anticipating. Syneos knows that this is coming, but don’t expect to hear a word about it from them about it until the very end.

Looks like GSK is getting ready to lay off the Syneos reps. Outdated samples had to be returned immediately, can't order anymore Advair samples & conference call in Sept. :(

i wonder if this will include the embedded reps or just those with Advair. Embedded reps carry a product from the rest of the line. Breo reps could be at risk, whether they are Syneos or GSK. But who knows - these companies rarely do things that make sense.

Breo will still be in the bag, whether it be for a syneos embedded rep or a GSK rep. I believe the asthma team will be let go due to the nature of their contract, as they are not embedded. Some embedded reps will be let go if their district is above their headcount. It all boils down to how much of a reduced headcount GSK determines really. We won't know that number til later next week most likely. Either way it falls, GLTA.

Only GSK reps cannot order Advair, Syneos can.

Guess we’ll know what’s happening after the call tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

What call?? Only GSK direct hires have a call and we are not allowed to listen in (if invited by accident).

What advair team? We’re you paying attention? There will no longer be a team advair, only Breo - Anoro - Trelegy.

how many reps are their currently on the asthma team. Meaning the non embedded, stand alone team that used to promote Advair

I think 300. So that means most embedded Breo reps will be gone

I’m thinking most Syneos reps in general will be gone. Sounds like a pretty lean sales force moving forward. Id love to know the FLL:Rep ratio they have in mind. I’d think they’d be smart enough to cut the Advair/Breo stand alone team and keep the embedded team on Breo, as only the embedded has been calling on the specialists. But who knows? I don’t think there will be very many open spots for embedded reps.
