The title of this thread is "real people real misery". We have all been miserable for many many many years. Layoff after layoff. Patient First. Backstabbing corporate culture. Crappy products and even worse Look who's miserable now. Emma and our Board of Directors! Elliot is forcing an independent Board of Directors to push for an early sale of our consumer division..ahead of what Emma had planned. Elliot calls Emma out and basically says she's in over her head and should have never been allowed to run a bioscience company..not kidding or exaggerating. Look it up. Hey Emma, you work hard and try to do the right thing. You make plans and try to execute. You have had years! If you were a rep you would have been placed on a PIP a long time ago! Welcome to the club! The only difference is that you will leave with a golden parachute of a severance package that will be in the multi-millions. Emma, you let a lot of people down. Cost people their jobs and allowed top talent to leave. Time for you to step aside and allow another to bring this once great company back to where it should have been all along.

Getting Saweeeeet Koolaid (GSK) is a psychological condition and describes a pattern of behavior that develops in victims of domestic violence as a result of serious, long-term abuse. GSK is dangerous primarily because it can lead to what some scholars say is "learned helplessness" -- or psychological paralysis -- where the victim becomes so depressed, defeated, and passive that she believes she is incapable of leaving her abuser.

This gripping fear feels absolutely real to the victim. Feeling weak, and possibly holding out hope that her abuser will stop hurting her, the victim remains in the abusive situation. This continues the cycle of domestic violence and strengthens the GSK grip.

I think Elliot needs to see it through relative to Emma's plans..........when you are handed the piece of crap the Witty created with Diedre and the Lilly folks she brought with her..........it is not something that can be fixed over night. She has the right plan so let her execute it.

To Post #70. Emma has had 4 years to turn things around. She's been at the helm since 2017. I think 4 plus years is enough time to make a change, don't you? Read Elliott's comments. Under Emmas leadership, she has "lagged behind her peers and the stock has slipped by 13%" Looking at every business metric Emma has underperformed similar companies.. If your sales numbers are down for just one quarter you are subject to intense scrutiny by your FLL and RSD. Usually placed on some hidden list where you have to develop some ridiculous business plan. If you underperform for a year you are subject to a PIP. Emma has had over 4 years with unlimited resources and she hasn't been able to do a thing. When was the last time you heard of an investment company overthrowing a CEO? Folks, the is GSK, toxic toxic toxic! Change is coming and coming much quicker than expected. The demands of our share holders are not only going to hold our CET accountable, they will hold the sales reps accountable! Get ready for a brutal ride!

The new headline “Elliott places GSK CEO on a Performance Improvement Plan”. Easier to schlep makeup to middle aged broads trying to recapture their youth. The largest stakeholder of GSK stock said that in so many words. The response from the CET…we approve of Emma’s leadership and new direction. That’s code for, we want to keep our overpaid jobs. Our leadership has underperformed for decades! Time to toss them all on their asses!! Elliott, please continue your push to oust the entire CET!
