I'm interviewing for a sales position right now. Manager is adamant he doesn't micromanage and that 150k is realistic. I've had two interviews and a ride along, but the rep I rode with almost felt like a shill because he only had the most positive things to say. Right now I have a cushy sales job, almost never see my boss and the product is good. 150k would be like a 40k raise for me, though. Is 150k realistic, and is my boss going to ride with me every week here? They want me to fly out and give some big presentation for a final interview, not sure if it's worth going on now.
Not only will your manager ride with you every other week , the area VP of sales will Be riding with you as well. Place hasn't improved. Micromanagement everywhere is still driving great reps away. Not too mention if you don't have 8 appointments a week they ask why and if you don't have two POVs a week they ask why. To answer your question if micromanagent , field rides a few times a month , weekly calls with your manager about pipeline and marketing controlling the sales department is worth 40k id say go for it.
Really not sure where this is coming from. I have been here for nearly two years and the vibe is totally different than when I started. Sales meeting this year felt like a different company. It was refreshing. Leadership really wants to support the field. Product launch has added excitement. Either someone is getting excited to post negative about Chris or has an ax to grind with an AVP. I am very happy with my decision to come here.
I think you just need to wake up and smell the coffee. Stop drinking the kool aide. You need to ask yourself why so many reps have left and why so many top reps leave. You must be one of those middle of the pack reps. Do enough to skate by and think Oxford is amazing
