Manhattan federal jury found a former executive at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. VRX +0.18% guilty of charges that he defrauded the pharmaceutical giant through a multimillion-dollar kickback scheme.
Tanner was not an executive, just one of the many Directors (maybe was promoted to VP after investing in Philidor) that they have. He was smooth though, could've sold Pearson the Brooklyn Bridge for a cool billion. Pearson won't see the inside of a jail, he's long gone. Hollywood should make a movie about this mess. Michael Douglas with a fat suit as Pearson, Ben Affleck as Tanner, Matt Damon as Davenport, Simon Helberg as Lazar, and Aarti Mann as Doreen. Side story would be Doreen and Pearson having a secret love affair, hence his marriage dissolution and not focusing on the Philidor problem at hand, resulting in his downfall.
