That was never a requirement for a DM position. From what I understand, it wasn't a requirement for the reps either. All it required was for C, H, M--one or all--to be friends with the new hire.
All I can say is "dig deeper in your accounts" and get off this website. Better yet, have your manager "dig deeper" into your accounts on your field ride along and get thrown out of the account. This strategy will get business. Now, get off your arse and "DIG DEEPER!!!"
when you move a product from 5M to be a B$ product you protect a lot of reps. A change from profiling from the phone book to thought leaders may be a change for some reps.
