Patients had their insurance billed for ChemoFx, had early stage cancer, so didn't need chemo?
The writers of the LCD need to audit claims. Help them out, send them some proof.

 

They need to audit all of the endometrial and lung cancer patients (or really, any patient dx'd with a Stage I cancer) - chemotherapy is usually not recommended and is not SOC for most people diagnosed in the early stage...

 

How Many.....Patients will be filing lawsuits because their insurance was billed for a test they had no knowledge of, didn't consent to, and most of all, because they did not need chemotherapy!

 

reps will be cut? current spec mix 45% GyN, so expect a 50% sales force cut!

 

It will be played out much like this...panic reductions in sales force, no solid physician rebuttals (they won't risk their reputations on unproven technology), final verdict with Medicare next month, doors will be closed by board, sell off of existing patents (if possible), MM and SM still walk with parachutes. What SHOULD happen is MM/SM should take blame for not listening to docs and betting on buyout therefore putting PTI in this position. They admit blame, pay everyone accordingly, resign their parachutes to allow employees be taken care of for at least 3-4 months. Ships sink, captains honorably go down, these guys won't. I can't help but laugh a little. Remember the days of send everything. for every 15 stage 1 CA (cancelled test)you got a $5000 payout per Quarter. If the signed the AUF you got paid double if I remember correct. The conference calls where great. Manager would tell reps have the Dr. send everything and if the AOF was sitting for more than a few days have CS send the AOF to you so you could have the DR. (Yourself) sign and fax the AOF in. Man those were the good old days. Even better was have your Gyn/Onc talk to the surg Oncs and get them to send and we could pay them an honorium. Thanks for the training JF. Ok, our best guess is that next week is the gauntlet due to lack of communication from our fearless leaders. Do the right thing guys, cover health benefits for June and give a decent severance with recommendations. We knew this was coming and we didnt desert the cause and we kept business as usual. It's just the ETHICAL thing do do. Try it for once, it feels good and it just might right some wrongs you've done in the past. You will be judged, here or after.

MM is finally gone! A few directly underneath him stay with BC to "lead" an unmotivated sales team that is down to 20-25 people.
At HQ: BP, the new product mgr was the high profile ouster. Most middle mgt is out. The very few who are left will only last a month or two as they keep shedding the highest salaries. Clin trials is just playing out the string.
Feel the worst for the worker bees in the lab who were led for too long under several layers of failure. The woman in charge who decided on the layoffs really likes having control. And she has none now, so she's just trying anything.
All leadership is praying that the new offerings will take off. Good luck with that!
