Anyone got the scoops on boardroom revolt a month ago right before the CRL?

Looks like 2 old timer VC board members bolted along with 1 new board member who is payer guru. And Kurt filled the 3 open seats with his cronies (long live the emperor with no clothes/clue!) and newly created board seat to get this Honorable Bob Kerrey who got driven out of office by Republican senate challenger in 2012.

So Kurt shall ruleth over the rubber-stamping board and stupid as hell investors. So much for corporate governance and thus the real reason Kurt wants to keep it private - keep on running Ponzi scheme with OTM( P) - other people's money or pussy as an emperor with slogan of NO ANALOGS!

Let's see as there are BoD parallels here - Theranos anyone (?) with BoD stuffed with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of Defense Bill Perry, former Secretary of State George Shultz, former Senators Sam Nunn and Bill Frist (who, it should be noted, is a surgeon), former Navy Admiral Gary Roughead, former Marine Corps General James Mattis, and former CEOs Dick Kovacevich of Wells Fargo and Riley Bechtel of Bechtel.

Morale in Hayward is as low as it can get and even lower than the day we were informed of CRL. We face the cutbacks everywhere and typical path for the companies in trouble before resorting to the layoffs. No travels, no free lunches for lunch time meetings and an air of desperation and uncertainty. Leadership team used to brag about millions of dollars raised but it seems like the money evaporated. Pretty depressing to say the least. :(

  3. 6 Subtle Characteristics of The Pathological Liar
    By Támara Hill, MS, LPC
Have you ever communicated with a person who seemed to live in a fantasy world where everything said felt false or exaggerated? Have you ever had an experience with a person who always seems mysterious and nothing they say ever comes to fusion? Well…if so, you might have been dealing with a sociopath, narcissist, or even a pathological liar. This article will discuss 6 important characteristics we should all be aware of with the pathological liar.
I WAS CAPTAIN OF THE FOOTBALL TEAM
Pathological lying (PL) has been defined by the Psychiatric Times as a “long history (maybe lifelong history) of frequent and repeated lying for which no apparent psychological motive or external benefit can be discerned.” There is no real consensus on what pathological lying is and many people have developed their own definition. Pathological lying is something that has negatively affected many people, even professionals, who are often unaware of the psychiatric instability or personality disorder of the liar. For example, in one of my previous articles I focused on Judge Patrick Couwenberg, a Superior Court Judge of California, who lied repeatedly while serving the public. The former Judge maintained the lie that he was a Caltech graduate, a wounded war veteran, and a CIA operative in the 1960s. All of these statements were easily identified by his peers as unreliable and inconsistent, but Couwenberg continued to attempt to evade others. He was later removed for “willful and prejudicial misconduct” for lying about attending Caltech. This education was critical to his Judicial position.
MY COLLEGE DEGREE IS BIOLOGY..NO WAIT..BIOLOGY & CHEMISTRY
The sad part about this story is not so much that the former Judge lost his job in the end, but that he lacked insight into the fact that his steps could be traced and that many people would ultimately find him out. An appropriate level of consciousness was missing from Couwenberg and is missing in so many other people who are compulsive liars. The very fact that a lie could be found out does not affect the pathological liar. They have an inability to consider the consequences or even fear being found out. It’s as if the pathological liar believes they are smarter than everyone and will never be found out. The very fact that the pathological liars’ work-life, home-life, or reputation could be in jeopardy as a result of the lies, does not phase the liar. Guilt, shame, or regret does not affect the liar. Consequences also do not seem to affect the liar. So then why does the liar engage in such behaviors?

  4. Listen for other people's stories being retold.
Pathological liars may often get caught lying. Frequently, you may hear someone else's story retold as if it happened to a pathological liar. If something about a story sounds familiar to you, stop to consider whether you've heard that story before.[2]
    • You may hear a pathological liar repeat the story of a friend or family member. They may also repeat stories from movies or television shows. The stories may be embellished slightly in the pathological liar's version.
I CREATED THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS FRANCHISE AT VERTEX
    • For example, your co-worker tells a story that sounds familiar to you, but you're unsure where you've heard it before. Later, you see a similar story on the news. If your co-worker is a pathological liar, they may very well have lifted the story from the news and presented it as their own.

Gotta give some credit where its due cos Graves coned and snookered Gates bout prevent AIDS fantasy. Thought Gates Foundation would have conducted thorough DD but hey Graves and his minions have honed their con skills over the years. But there probably are some details in the Gates Foundation contract we're not privy to related to the claims and milestone payments.

Oh, Intarcia has yet to conduct any human trials for what will turn out of be very expensive implant therapy that will of course not work. Besides there are millions of guinea pigs in Africa to run experiments on.

And best prevention for AIDS is - drum roll please - don't have unprotected sex. LOL

Major discord on the blame game. Leadership is confident that it's not their fault because they didnt know about it. Can it really all be blamed on QC ? Four years ago impurities plagued batch release how can this be a suprise ?

GLP-1 trailer Bydureon gets a facelift, but can it stand out in a market that's only getting tougher?

The old formulation of AstraZeneca's Bydureon, pictured above, has been facing down Eli Lilly's Trulicity and Novo Nordisk's Victoza in the GLP-1 market.

AstraZeneca’s Bydureon took a blow back in May when it failed to cut down cardiovascular risks in Type 2 diabetes patients. But the company is hoping a new formulation will give the medication some competitive firepower.

The British drugmaker has scored an approval for Bydureon BCise, which has shown across two clinical trials that it can both reduce HbA1c—by an average of 1.4%—and ramp up weight loss, which it did by an average 3.1 pounds.

And importantly, the tweaked formulation comes in an enhanced delivery device, too. Bydureon BCise features a continuous-release microsphere delivery system designed to provide consistent levels of the drug and, in turn, “help patients reach and maintain a steady state,” AZ said.

RELEASE: AstraZeneca's Bydureon cleared a heart safety test, but didn't cut risks. Can it still vie with Novo?

It didn't take a long time for the Ex-LT member to figure out the mess and bailed for better position at Vertex, mind you a real pharmaceutical company across the street and who had galls to fire Kurt.

LT members based in Hayweird knew all along the place is loyally screwed up and CRL was inevitable despite millions spent on countless leech consultants. It was so amusing to see the $500/hr McKinsey and Deloitte consultants work on seemingly same issues and best part was that lot of these consultant were young with little if any experience in the pharmaceuticals. Worst offender is BioTechLogic - really license to steal and one has to wonder what kind of kickback insider got for enriching pals at BTL.

In the mean time Exec Director schmuck who headed QA and QC got promoted TWICE as VP then Global VP of Quality 3 months ago. He is the clueless coward who bugged out to India to take care of family or something as he was petrified about facing the FDA inspection. He is still there and hiring more directors to do the work for him.

As for the on-going impurities not to mention constant micro contaminations at clinical plant not designed for aseptic processing on - blame it on joke test methods which had not been validated. Consultant was brought in to fix but the idiots did not understand and argued with him instead then fired him. Even the idiots knew about the high level of impurities so knowingly use joke test methods to release the batches including all batches made to support Ph III not to mention commercial batches made anticipating FDA approval which all need to be shit-canned.

Hayweird really needs to fire those on top who knew and partook in this mess and bring in VPs from established drug companies that went from clinicals to FDA approval to commercialization (but no more Genentech talking heads). Otherwise like Einstein said madness is doing same things over again expecting different results.

How can you say the clinical data can be relied upon if the drug batches all failed to meet specifications. Need to repeat the studies.

There's more to the impurities saga with ever evolving test methods and specs/alert-action limits, and new equip and process introduced like unproven questionable design and scaled up spray drier introduced towards the tail end of the Ph III trial. So glad FDA uncovered these and one has to wonder if an insider spilled beans to FDA anonymously.

Cant it be Saturday already. Dreading getting on 880. Maybe just go to Reno and be safe across state lines. I cant stand even looking at him. Pretending that a magic wand will make every problem disappear when it just keeps getting worse and worse. No matter how many times you run it 2+2=4 and BS in=BS out

I have worked here seven months now. It has been a colossal mistake. I have never experienced a more soul sucking, sick twisted work environment like this. It is truly amazing the lengths that they go to for a fast buck

To those poor souls toiling at Intarcia East, West and soon Land of Leprechauns,

Get the hell out as fast as you can! Y'all are competing for same jobs as your colleagues are applying to same positions. It's rare and amusing to see so many desperate folks apply from same company. At least in the Bay Area pharma circles Intarcia has terrible reputation for hiring incompetent people. Words out from the insiders (FTEs and especially contractors) about what a shitty place Hayweird is. I mean you know very well how many seemingly good people bail within a year.

Screw you - most of us are actually very good. Crappy results relate to stupid leaders.

Not so fast old chap. Easy to blame the leaders but the finest like you and your colleagues were brought into fix the mess, right? So by your logic y'all suck. The better talents who hasn't bailed yet are looking real hard to leave the shit hole meaning bottom of the barrel will stay saving Kurt of some severance payments as guess what pal - RIF is given.

PS - you really think y'all will be able to fix the excrements without doing another study and appease FDA within a year? Maybe if you believe in unicorns but will the payer pay for the therapy with Teva's generic exenatide not to mention Novo's Victoza with proven cardio benefit? Dream on!
